I’d appreciate some functionality that lets me group/sort albums and artists in a hierarchiecal manner, perhaps similar to a playlist.

It would be better the other way. Grouping this feedback to the other.

Is it just me or is Deezer not developing? Beyond the answers "we pass the issue to the developers" there are really no solutions.
Users want to organize their music library and there is no way but to create a bunch of playlists and scroll a mile down.

I would also love this feature for Deezer. I much prefer Deezer over other streaming platforms, but one feature I miss from spotify is the lack of folders. I create monthly playlists of music from different genres and languages, and it was very helpful to group these playlists into folders.

Many titles for the same topic /folders/grouping/playlist folders. When will deezer wake up and users will be able to organize their libraries? This topic is at least 4 years old. Deezer can understand on her own that if competing music services (Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal) already have a playlist folder, the developers probably knew why they were doing it and there is no need to ask to vote for several titles that have the same theme. Can someone from Deezer's team give an answer when the option will be available?

There is a circular reference loop here and might be why this is receiving little attention:

Either a New idea to manage this topic or selecting an existing one and using that.

IDEAS/REQUESTS:

  • Search/sort/categorize by Genre is important. We like a ‘mood’ and need to quickly find what we are in the mood for. The existing genres also need sub-categories to better find what you want. It is rather flat right now.
  • We also want to be able to see the Genre of music on the page you are listening and click it if we want to see more of the same/similar. There is no indication of what genre you are listening to and little info in the Bio sections (if existing) in some cases. Just add what Genre you are listening to on the cover page somewhere:

    and somewhere here:

Hey @Gregory Lange, that is true and this is one of the reasons why this idea is kind of difficult to implement this.

We need to go through all the catalogue and make sure the genres that are flagged on our backend are correct, it’s a big job… but not impossible!

Or ask the developers to enable playlist folder like all the other music services.

Thanks @Yula for the feedback and explanations.

Understood about the big task. Although I can’t imagine it should be difficult to write some SW to gather this information autonomously?  Quite a few music catalog tools do this. However, I am no coder and don’t know the difficulty in implementing something like this.

Thanks for a great service.

5 years and folders still unavailable.

It's crazy, I go away to Spotify.

Sorry about it @Ivan Frolov, but as explained is not fast/easy to do it. 😐

Take care.

@Johnathan.Deezer 5 years. I believe it’s enough to code any project.

Our developers has other priorities at the moment as well. 😕

“at the moment” - it’s ok for this moment, but 5 years. 5 years…

Such feature requested 5 years ago, please see this ticket

And this is in TOP-10 by votes.

Anyway, your clients already go away to another platforms.

It’s good reason to think about.

I sent your feedback to the right team.
