Got an idea? Request a feature 🚀

We're proud to say that since the birth of our Deezer communities, you've been sharing and suggesting the best features and improvements we could ask for - clap if you think of Dark Mode :smirk::sunglasses:

So for us to get your feedback in the right place, to the right people and in the right way, we need you to follow 3 magic rules :point_down_tone2:

  1. Before posting an idea: check if it doesn't already exist :raising_hand_tone1:
Our search engine has become more advanced and thanks to filters, you can easily find out if someone had the same cool idea you've been thinking about

  2. One topic/thread = one idea: so that it's easier to spot and start a discussion about, keep one suggestion per topic :nerd:
We can then redirect specific teams to look into one topic about one feature, to keep things simpler and more objective

  3. Be clear and concise: I can't stress this enough! :spy_tone5: Think of a clever and specific title, detail your suggestion within the topic and don't be vague, make sure everyone knows what's all about
Imagine other users looking for the same and finding your idea. They'll vote and our teams will be able to see clearly how many other users want the same
Think about which platform and device the idea applies to as well

The ideas that meet the criteria above and are less of an opinion or general feedback will go through.

Not all ideas will see the light of day, that's true. But we can assure you that our developing teams will be directly informed about them and we'll be always closely following up to ensure there's progress :muscle_tone2:

We're delighted to have your suggestions popping here all the time - it's an essential part of making Deezer a better product for all of you

*topics with suggestions that reflect opinions or small improvements to existing feature will still be discussed here at Deezer but they'll be placed in the Features & Feedback forum, so don't be mad at us if that happens! :relieved:

Hi @Gith0 @soundmaster, thank you for your suggestions!

To make sure your ideas get the attention they deserve, please submit them as proposals here.

This allows them to be reviewed, voted on, and possibly implemented in the future.

We greatly value your feedback.

That’s not entirely true, @Leonídia.Deezer, please don’t give them false hope Deezer listens to their paying customers.

Deezer still misses really basic features that really ruin the whole experience, and you even lose a lot of users by just ignoring valid feature requests / bug reports.

A great example for this is this 7+ year old bug report about the fact that you can’t edit anything in your queue if you’re casting to a device; which totally sucks if you have people over. You even dismissed it as a valid request for some invalid reason, which really adds to the “we don’t care what you want”-mentality Deezer has.

This support article also does not mention the crippled experience when you are casting; so you are withholding information from potential new clients: https://support.deezer.com/hc/en-gb/articles/201330961-Deezer-on-Google-Chromecast

Bonjour,

Serait-ce possible un jour que le nombre d’écoutes total d’une musique + le nombre d’écoutes par mois d’un artiste soit affichés ?

merci

If you use a car that has Android Automotive OS (not the Android Auto that mirrors the phone display) the deezer app is missing features like search using the microphone.  Google Assistant will have deezer play live versions, covers, pretty much anything that is the studio album of what you want.  Since there is no microphone option in the search bar and you cannot type while driving there is no option to switch music.

Hi everyone,

I recently migrated from Spotify to Deezer. While I am enjoying the platform, I noticed a few areas where the user experience could be significantly improved

1. Remember scroll position when navigating back
Currently, when you leave a page (like a large playlist) and click the "back" arrow, the page resets to the very top. Deezer should remember the exact scroll position so we don’t lose our place. This would save a lot of time in long playlists.

2. Better sidebar customization
The left sidebar layout hides artists and favorite tracks inside the "Library" section, requiring extra clicks. It would be elegant to have horizontal tabs (like a web browser) or a way to pin shortcuts (Artists, Liked Songs, etc.) directly to the sidebar for quicker access.

3. Visual indicators for songs already in playlists
Right now, the only visual feedback we get when browsing an album is the "heart" icon for liked songs. It would be amazing to have a visual marker showing if a song is already added to any of our custom playlists, making it easier to track what we've already collected.

4. Expanding the music catalog
I noticed some tracks available on Spotify are missing here. While I understand this usually depends on the artists and licensing rather than Deezer itself, any extra effort or incentives to close this gap and reach a 100% complete catalog would be highly appreciated.

5. "Jump to currently playing song" in albums and playlists
When you click the song title in the bottom-left player, it opens the album or playlist, but it doesn't automatically scroll down to the active track.

  • We need a "Jump to current song" button for albums and playlists (similar to how the Queue system already works).
  • The player could display "Now playing [Song] from [Playlist Name]" to give better context.
  • The sidebar playlist icon could also show a small "playing" animation (like the one under the cover art) to indicate which playlist is currently active.

6. High default UI zoom level
The default interface feels too large and bulky, taking up too much screen real estate. I had to manually zoom out a lot in my app to make it comfortable. I worry that new users who don't know they can change the zoom might find the initial look unappealing.

I hope the dev team considers these tweaks to make the transition for new users even smoother!

@igorjcorrea: I agree with most of your point, but especially with point 1. This is so annoying.

Keep suggestions (songs) marked unchecked, which haven´t been checked (listened to) and/or Convert notifications (DE UI = “Benachrichtigungen”) into a playlist! Having a playlist “New Songs”/”Suggestions” might be the better option maybe?

As I get a lot of song-suggestions via the notifications I find it so annoying that once you´ve had this overview open, all suggestions (songs) are marked unchecked  → listen to one of those songs → go back: all suggestions are no longer marked!

Regards,
Sven
