Full discography not in artist's profile - Featured In section missing (desktop version)

I’ve noticed lately that if I am listing to a compilation album and I click on one of the artists names, the discography in their profile does not include the compilation album that I am listening to.  Didn’t there used to be a “Featured In” section in every artists profile?  If I click on the album name or type it in the search field it can be found, but not via the artists page.  This is not an issue on the app.

Hi @SergioC !

I also noticed that on PC  Featured In  section is no longer there .
There is only  : Albums , EPs and Singles

The "More albums" sections are gone too, and that's good, because they were a mess and never counted as their artists' latest release, but Albums, EPs, Singles, etc. that were under the "More albums" section have not been visible on their respective artist pages since; they are on the Deezer catalog, if you search for them you will find them, the artists URLs are correct, but these releases are no longer shown on their artists pages, as if they are hidden.
This issue is even worse than the "Featured in" section, as it badly affects all Deezer versions, not just the web browser one. It is so weird not being able to find an album on the artist page that opens from the album itself. Deezer catalog is actually broken by these issues.

I can’t believe this hasn’t been flagged or addressed in any way.  Isn’t the whole point of these services to provide easy access to a lot of music?  I guess in Deezer’s case it’s only if you are lucky enough to find it?  This is enough of a glitch to make me switch streaming services.

And to make matters worse, they are phasing out their Free plan in many countries. How can they ask to pay for a subscription when a core feature of their music catalog has not been working for so many weeks now?
I submitted a Deezer support ticket over a month ago, but it did not help. 😖

The Free plan has been mostly phased out where I am already - only available on desktop versions now.  One of Deezer’s selling points is the size of the catalog - but if you can’t find some of it then what’s the point?  How do you submit a support ticket?

Let’s compare the difference between how Deezer and Spotify do it.  Here is the difference between the profile page for a band called The Dentists: Spotify has 4 official band albums and 8 “appears on” albums.  Deezer has the same 4 band albums - and that’s it!  (I know most/all those compilations are also available on Deezer but don’t show up in the bands’ profile).  This needs to change.

Featured in section will be restored in the artist page soon as our devs have been working in a better user experience.
Thanks for your patience and apologies for the inconvenience

@Jaime. please make sure NOT to restore the "More albums" section. As @Marcormark explained above, it was a complete mess, and I fully agree. You were hiding OFFICIAL albums delivered by labels and distributors under the "Featured In" section. All albums from the "More albums" category should be placed in the Albums, EPs, or Singles sections. I hope it will be done properly when you finish the “update”.

I can’t say I noticed the “More albums” issue, but it sounds messy.  The main thing that should be in the “Featured In” section are the various artist albums that a particular artist appears on.  Happy to hear they are at least working on it.

Yes, the "More Albums" section has been removed or hidden. However, it included official releases that were not categorized under Albums, EPs, or Singles. As I mentioned, this section used to be located under the "Featured In" section, requiring users to scroll through up to 200 featured albums on the Web Player to access those albums. On mobile devices, the "More Albums" section didn't appear at all. That's why I called them hidden albums.

When it comes to the "Featured In" section, I totally agree with you. It should contain albums on which a particular artist appears. Most other streaming services handle this correctly, unlike Deezer…

Do not know, but they seem like different issues, even though the "Featured in" and "More albums" sections vanished at the same time. I agree and hope the former to get restored, while the latter to get split into Albums, EPs, Singles, etc.
