I was wondering if Flow could have more genres? It seems very limited to overarching types like “Rock”, “Rap”, etc. I mostly listen to garage punk, and it then says that I listen to “Rock” which then recommends terrible music. I’d appreacitate a more nuanced version of genres, similar to what Spotify has with they daylists (sp?).
Latest addition to the Flow moods and genres is “New Releases” which is available since two days in the web player and desktop, not sure about the mobile apps. It mainly plays music released this year personalised to your music taste, I only missed some classical music in the mix when trying it out.
If there is no garage punk in your Flow mix, you might not listen to enough music from this genre, as Flow tries to show and offer your currently preferred genres. Maybe you also need to add more music from that genre to your Favorites, too:
I agree it also adds genres I am not interested in like Christmas or Reggae, so it would be great if we could manually add or remove genres and moods ourselves there, e.g. pick them from a dropdown list or drag & drop preferred or unliked genres in this list.
Yeah, that was part of what I was wondering since punk is almost all I listen to, yet it shows up as “Rock” which then plays a variety of rock music instead of punk.
I second that. Same with the House genre. There are many sub-genres. And to be honest, it's hard for me to find music that suits me. I think there's a lot of potential here and I'm looking for a reason not to leave (I'm a new user).
