I can see many posts going back 3 years with the same issue... After listening to Christmas songs for a month the regular flow is absolutely full of them, almost every song is Christmas.

Obviously I could "angry face" every Christmas song I get... But

A-Half the time I'm driving

B- I really like these songs (at Christmas) so don't want them not to appear next year

There absolutely must be a fix for this as I can't see the same issue logged for other music streaming services (I absolutely love deezer, but this is a huge pain)

I’m having the same problem, for the second year in a row. I was hopeful that Deezer created a “Christmas” mood in Flow last year that they would tag songs as Holiday and handle them specially, but alas, that does not seem to be the case. Perhaps a way for users to use tags or playlists to categorize songs and put into a specific “flow mood”. Really, anything at this point would be great. Flow is becoming completely useless. 😥

Rather than “liking” my Christmas tunes, I just add them all to a Christmas playlist. Or play “Christmas Flow”. My interpretation of this issue is that Flow is working as it is intended to be. I understand that some want certain tunes to be tagged as “Christmas” tunes, but then who decides what is and is not Christmas? I know, most are obvious, but then the complaints will arise over the oddities. How many data input hours would be required to tag millions of songs?

Thanks for the workaround of using only a Playlist. It’s not ideal, but could work.

Deezer used to try to help with this (see “Christmas songs in Flow - Help Please” below). It makes sense to me to at the very least have a mood for Flow that would contain Christmas/Holiday songs. Same for other holidays.

I’ve tried the Christmas playlist thing. Doesn’t help! My flow is still full of Xmas songs. Any fix for this would be much appreciated!

@Jon Shingleton did you also “unlike” your Christmas tunes?

Usually liking a new genre is enough for Flow to recalibrate.
Example: Create a "Jazz" playlist and add 10-15 suitable songs. Like these songs and maybe listen to them occasionally.
After a short time, Flow then brings Jazz. If that happens, simply remove the Jazz songs from your favorites list and listen to your actual favorite music again.
Jazz is just an example here. You can also take German rap ( @GropplerZorn 😋 ) or Polish polka. It doesn't matter at all, the main thing is a genre that you don't usually hear.
