Deezer Will Let You Exclude AI-Generated Tracks

Want to skip AI-generated tracks? Our Devs at Deezer are working on a feature that will let you filter them out of your searches before the end of 2026. Stay tuned!

Once the feature is available, you’ll be able to switch the filter on or off, depending on your preference.

With the filter turned on:

• Fully AI-generated tracks and albums won’t appear in search results.
• Artists associated with this content will also be excluded from search results.

Want to explore AI-generated music? Simply turn the filter off!

The filter targets fully AI-generated music, not tracks created by humans using some AI tools.
It applies to search results only. Deezer already excludes detected AI-generated tracks from its algorithmic and editorial recommendations.

Deezer has been developing its AI music detection technology since 2025. So far, we’ve:

• Detected and excluded more than 42 million AI-generated tracks from recommendations since January 2025.
• Tagged over 14 million albums containing AI-generated music.

Many of you have been asking for a way to filter out AI-generated music, both here in the Deezer Community and on Reddit. We’ve heard your feedback, and this new feature is a step towards giving you more control over what you discover on Deezer.

With this new feature, the choice will be yours.

What do you think?
Would you turn the filter on, leave it off, or switch it depending on what you feel like listening to?
