💟A look at the key advantages that set Deezer apart💜

In an increasingly crowded music streaming market, Deezer has managed to stand out as a solid and, in several ways, superior alternative to the competition. Here is a breakdown of the areas where this platform truly makes a difference.

đŸŽ”Â  1. The Largest Catalog on the Market

Deezer offers more than 120 million songs (Yes, you read that right: 120 MILLION), surpassing all of its competitors in sheer volume of available titles. This is a significant advantage for listeners looking for niche genres, obscure artists, or complete discographies that are hard to find elsewhere.

🔊  2. Superior Audio Quality: A Pioneer in Lossless Streaming

Deezer was a pioneer in offering lossless streaming in lose less FLAC format at 16-bit/44.1kHz, equivalent to CD quality, long before the rest of the industry. While its competitors took years to adopt this standard, Deezer introduced it back in 2017, making it the go-to choice for audiophiles and serious music lovers.

đŸ€–Â  3. Active Fight Against AI-Generated Music

In 2025, Deezer implemented a cutting-edge AI detection tool, identifying that approximately 10,000 fully AI-generated tracks are submitted to the platform every single day. Unlike its competitors, Deezer took an early and proactive stance on this issue, demonstrating a clear commitment to:

  • Protecting real artists
  • Maintaining the integrity of its music catalog
  • Being transparent with its users

💰  4. A Fairer Payment Model for Artists

Deezer pays approximately $0.00562 per stream, a competitive rate compared to the rest of the market. Furthermore, in January 2025, it signed a landmark agreement with SACEM adopting an artist-centric payment system, marking the first update to the publishing rights remuneration model since streaming was first introduced. This makes Deezer the more ethical choice for those who care about directly supporting creators.

🌍  5. Broader Geographic Availability

Deezer is available in more countries worldwide than any of its direct competitors. This makes it the most accessible option for international users, frequent travelers, or residents in markets where other platforms simply are not available.

🎯  6. Advanced Personalization with Flow

Deezer is rolling out a recommendation algorithm that can be customized directly by each user, giving listeners control over the suggestions in their "Flow" playlist based on their own preferences. This level of user control over the algorithm is a unique feature not currently offered by any competitor.

📊  7. Monthly Listening Stats

With My Deezer Month, the platform lets users check and share their listening statistics every month, while competitors typically only offer a yearly recap. This monthly tracking is especially appreciated by users who want to stay on top of their music habits on an ongoing basis.

✹  Conclusion

Deezer stands out from the competition not only for having the largest catalog and the best historical audio quality, but also for its ethical commitment to artists and its pioneering stance on the current challenges facing the music industry, such as the proliferation of AI-generated content. For audiophiles, independent music lovers, and those who value supporting creators, Deezer is today the most complete streaming option on the market.

💟Long live Deezer!💜

There are many advantages to using Deezer instead of another provider.

At the moment, however, I think the ability to identify AI‑generated tracks is the biggest benefit.

But as I mentioned, Deezer offers several advantages that are highlighted here.

And I certainly don’t want to speak badly about the other services, because I don’t think Apple Music is bad at all. I just hope more people will discover Deezer and notice these benefits as well, if they’re willing to try Deezer for a month and look at the possibilities and advantages rather than focusing only on the drawbacks.

I don’t want to be that guy but the second half of the following sentence is misleading at best.

> Deezer pays approximately $0.00562 per stream, a competitive rate compared to the rest of the market.

I don’t see how we translate the numbers below into “a competitive rate compared to the rest of the market”.

According to the following chart from https://rebelmusicdistribution.com/2025/08/22/which-streaming-service-pays-the-most-per-1000-streams-in-2025-top-5-platforms/  Deezer barely beats the absolute worst offenders -- Spotify, $3-$5 and Amazon Music, $4-$6 per 1000 streams.

Approximately, Tidal pays out 100% more than Deezer, while Qobuz and Napster pays out 200% more than Deezer per stream -- even Apple pays out 30-50% more

Deezer had a competitive rate at one point but the market has changed and I don’t think Deezer can make this argument anymore

Rank Platform Approx. Payout per Stream Estimated Payout per 1,000 Streams
1 Qobuz $0.0187 $18.70
2 Napster $0.019–$0.021 $19–21
3 Tidal $0.0128–$0.013 $12.80–$13
4 Apple Music $0.0078–$0.01 $7.80–$10
5 Deezer $0.0064

$6.40

Lol you were that guy. The information may or may not be accurate since it's all based on data, but thanks for the input.
