Deezer, what is going on here?

OK, no streaming service is currently perfect, but geez Deezer, what is going on?

  1. So, no real functionality with the Apple watch application. The dread screaming volume issue while I am streaming to my HiFi system negates my ability to install Deezer on my Apple Watch. I cannot believe this has not yet been addressed. The use of these Apple devices (iPhone and Watch) I would assume is common enough that this would warrant attention? Now, in the same circumstances, there are no issues with Apple Music. So, score a win for Apple Music.
  2. CarPlay will now play only 4-6 tracks after which Deezer freezes. The only way to continue is to close the Deezer app, reopen and reconnect to CarPlay. My music is downloaded to my phone so connectivity should not be an issue. Yep, how does that work for an extended road trip? Apple music will play for hours with no such issue. Score another win for Apple Music.
  3. Streaming to my HiFi (KEF) system is my major listening experience, thankfully here Deezser is adequate. Yep, there is the Airplay 1 lag which is annoying, and the connectivity could be better, but heaven forbid Deezer migrate to Airplay 2 which will stream at Bluetooth quality at best. Be aware that in over 95% of instances Airplay 2 does NOT stream lossless, the degradation of playback quality is painfully obvious. A decent Connect feature would solve this issue. Apple music streams via Airplay 2 which is fine for earbuds, but is woefully inadequate in a decent HiFi environment. HOWEVER, I can get around this with a hardwired iOS device to my speaker system and then controlling that device with a third party app (Lysonic) which offers a connect-like environment and allows me to stream lossless to my system. So for me, I would call this a tie between Deezer and Apple. I have not yet considered Tidal and Qobuz.

So @Jaime.Deezer @Nina Nebo is there any chance these issues are being looked at by the developers? Before you ask, iPone 17 is fully updated, as is my Deezer app. I am happy with Deezer content and this community is wonderful, however the above instances seem to be pretty basic ones that should work for the Deezer user?

    Hi @BigFKahuna !

Deezer developers are actively working on fixes for issues affecting Apple CarPlay and the

    Apple Watch application .

There is no official timeline for a permanent fix, but developers have identified the issues and are working on solutions in upcoming app versions .

You can report the issue to Deezer Support with your specific phone and OS version to help the team identify the cause.
