Why is the Deezer streaming service having such consistent issues with dropping off and just going silent or sputtering and cutting out? It’s unique to Deezer. I have a couple other music streaming platforms and they have literally never disrupted the music stream in this way. Why is this happening on the Deezer platform and not others consistently? This is a music streaming platform - having songs stop or cut out and interrupt with what seems like monster latency spikes is kind of a deal breaker with a  Premium price for streaming.

Is it new ? Do you use the beta version ? Which OS are we talking about ? Web ? desktop ? iOS/Android?

On Android  I would check a few things :

  1. Is battery optimization turned on for Deezer . If so , turned it off
  2. Clean cache on Deezer
  3. Increase cache usage percentage on Deezer app ( Via settings)

@Noam Asulin I use Windows PC and an Android cellular device currently. First off, thank you for the rapid response to my community question. However, these technical issues are not good. They indicate some poor or insufficient coding or back-end architecture - over reliance on cache and not handling cache cleanup and clearing effectively. Network errors and latencies could also be a result of poor cache handling by Deezer.

Bottom Line: The price for Deezer is identical to it’s competitors, but, the experience doesn’t stack with the streaming experience of competitors.

Again - thank you for the quick response. I truly appreciate it.

I agree with you it’s damaging the user experience however if you try that maybe it will fix it for you ‘ at least on Android .
