Can we use a "Passkey" to securely sign in (yet)?

Just curious. It’s a becoming a wee bit tedious clicking on photos of fire hydrants or motorcycles frequently when I sign in into Dezzer.com on my laptop. Glad for the security though.

Any ideas or news?

As of right now it is not possible (As you probably figured) . To be honest most of the sites are still using the old way , Passkey is indeed very convenient but not been used in big scale yet so it seems .

Hey Noam,

Thanks for the reply.

Can you elaborate on why it is not possible?

I agree with you that Pass Key is the newest method. But I'd rather Dewzer starts with Pass Key and be done with it.

Hello @Captain_Eric1 indeed as mention by @Noam Asulin, passkey as a method of login solution is not on the roadmap.

We are considering other alternatives to have more secure accounts, but for now, we can’t share much more.

Yes, passkeys can securely replace passwords, but it depends on whether Deezer supports them. They use public-key cryptography, eliminating the need for CAPTCHAs. While passkey adoption is still growing, keep an eye out for updates from Deezer. Meanwhile, a password manager might make sign-ins easier.

Thanks for the post. Yea, I gather there are technical considerations and associated costs.

I just want to simplify. I've got too many sign-in protocols. Don't really want another one from Deezer.

And yea you're right, a password manager helps and I use one. But Passkey is so simple and consistent across apps.

We'll have to wait and see. Again thanks.
