Bug related to Discovery and multiple copies of albums

Today, my Discovery playlist has a song that I had already favorited, but it is not marked as favorited in Discovery, only in my Favorites playlist. According to Last.fm, I played this song two times in 2022 (on my Deezer account). The song in question is “Free Gloss” by Holy Fuck, Nicholas Allbrook. The album in both cases is Deleter. When I find the song in my Favorites playlist and then I click on the album name, it is not favorited there(?!)

So, I think there are two bugs. The main bug is that Discovery should not recommend songs that have an identical artist + track name to one that you’ve favorited or played. The other bug is that when I click on a track’s album name, I expect to go to that track’s album page, not a doppelganger page.

I’m guessing this is due to different regions, but please try to make it so that this all works transparently as the customer expects, no matter what weird licensing gymnastics are going on behind the scenes.

My deezer username is secretagentfrog. The album URL for Deleter is:
https://deezer.page.link/msLbowQcPm2U3o1n7

Same behavior under both Windows 11 browser (Microsoft Edge) and the Android app.

Hi @secretagentfrog, sorry to hear that.

I can't reproduce the issue on my end; everything seems to be working well.

Could you please send me a video demonstrating all the steps you're taking?

Thanks. I hope screenshots will suffice…

  1. Go to my favorites page: https://deezer.page.link/kSLmiNz8TfdJ2k3R7
  2. In search bar, filter for “free gloss”. Note that is favorited.
  3. Click on the album name, “Deleter”.
  4. Note that track 4, “Free Gloss” is not favorited.
  5. Confusion.

This makes it difficult to manage favorite tracks.
