Banning a song altogether

Hi, everyone,

Flow and mixes have the ‘Do not recommend’ option for a song. That is great! But if we are on an album page, that option does not ban the song, so we continue to hear it and have to either be patient or hit the Next button.

I think it would be great if Deezer gave us a way to ban a song accross the whole platform, no matter how we got to it or where it is being played on ⛔

I don’t know exactly how this could be done — if it were based solely on the title, we would have a big risk of banning the wrong songs. For instance: Metallica, U2 and A. Morrisette all have completely different songs named ‘One’. So title alone should not be the basis for this. Maybe the digital signature! Although that would require me to ban a song and every version of it, I thik it is well with it just to ensure that, from that moment on, my account will never be plagued with it again on Deezer.

I know I may come across as an intolerant geezer, but come on, we all have those songs we hate for whatever reason 😁 👴 👩🏼 😽

I recently found out about excluding artists and it feels almost as good as blocking someone on social media, lol

Peace all 🎵

Hi @dermida !

At this moment, there are also these two banning possibilities on the Deezer.

Click on 3 dots ➡ Don’t recommend this artist

Click on 3 dots ➡ Don’t recommend this artist

As you said, it would be impossible to ban a song by title.
Since the artists have singles, albums, album compilations and all of them have a one song that we don't want to hear it , I think is necessary to use 3 dots on each of them and ban track by Don't recommend this track . I'm not sure how it works ,but if is like I said above ,then is  complicated .

Only is not complicated if you ban an artist.
