Auto start on login

I’m on a Mac and recently I get a notification when I start the desktop app that it has added a setting and enabled that Deezer will auto-start every time I start my computer. If I set the Deezer in-app-setting to not auto-start and remove deezer from login items under Mac settings, it will just add it again and set the in-app setting to auto-start. I’d prefer to decide on my own that to start on not to start on my computer, what’s going on Deezer?

Hi @dine909 @Jonkzy @mattyq I have reported the problem and our devs are aware already.
I’ve been told that a fix is on the way and will be available on the next version of the desktop app coming soon.

Still nothing… Alright, I guess it’s time to jump back to TIDAL now that they’ve gotten rid of MQA. Keep completely disregarding your user base, Deezer. See how it ends up working out for you.

Still present on macOS Tahoe 26, Deezer desktop current version (May 2026) — more than a year after this was reported as "fix on the way". The app still re-registers itself as a login item on every launch via BTM/SMAppService, overriding the in-app toggle. Any update on the promised fix?
