Any way to turn off the Top Result box? It consumes a lot of vertical screen space.

Already whenever I searched, I had to scroll the results page down to get more than the first few songs into view. There’s just a lot of clutter around the page, and the part I care about gets precious little screen real estate.

But now with the Top Result box, I can’t see any of the song list, just the one song, taking up way more space than it needs to.

A plain old tabular list already had the top result, right at the top! That’s what it means! It’s the top result, because it’s at the top! The top of the list! The list that already existed!

This just takes up more space and offers zero additional information, and makes the list harder to use by requiring more scrolling if it’s not what I was looking for.

Can I request a “compact view” that eliminates all this?

Okay, screenshot! Here’s a case where a song I was looking for shares a name with a band, and the band now takes over the entire screen and I can’t even see the Tracks section without scrolling down.

the “tracks” result is down completely off the bottom of the screen

I want to disable this “Top Result” element entirely, so the Tracks list moves up.

However, I just realized I can use my ad-blocker’s “Hide Page Element” function to do this, so it’s moot. :)

Anyone else frustrated by this visual clutter, install UBlock Origin, and under Custom Filters, add one that says

www.deezer.com##.css-1eepi4t

and reload the page.

Solved:

Of course, it’d still be better to have a Preferences dialog for this, as not everyone will have user rights to install browser extensions.

Hi @myself248 !

Since you didn't attach a screenshot, I assume you meant the playlists on the right side of the screen?

When you type what you are looking for in the search engine, you have the option to choose what you want to display

All
Tracks
Albums
Playlists
Artists
Episodes
Podcasts

Yes, but that’s an extra click which wasn’t formerly necessary. Just like an extra scroll-down that wasn’t formerly necessary. I could scroll down too, but that’s the point of my post here, that having to avoid this box costs time and makes the search less useful. By blocking the element in my browser, I’ve restored the usefulness.

Unfortunately, the Top Result box option cannot be turned off.
