We are happy to announce the launch of Women Chart, a new ranking dedicated to female artists and those who identify as women. This initiative supports Deezer’s mission for a fairer, more inclusive music industry.
International Women’s Day is a chance to highlight and celebrate the impact of women artists on the music industry and Deezer has decided to take action by creating the Women Chart, a ranking entirely dedicated to female artists. This chart will be updated every month and will highlight the 50 most-listened-to tracks by female artists in France, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, and worldwide.
Despite their talent and impact, female artists struggle for visibility. This initiative not only celebrates them but pushes for real industry change.
With the Women Chart, Deezer joins other industry initiatives like Billboard Women in Music that advocate for better representation of female artists. By shining a spotlight on these talents, Deezer hopes not only to provide more diversity for listeners but also to inspire other industry players to commit to a more inclusive music landscape.
