Is "composer" a field in the music catalog?

Sometimes, the performing artist and the composer are different people.

Can each of those be shown in the music catalog. (If someone sings a John Lennon’s “Imagine” song, it “should” show John Lennon as the composer. See what I mean?

As it is, it’s very muddled. Having both would be helpful.

Hi @Captain_Eric1

Tap the three dots next to the song and select "View song credits." This will show you some information. This information is provided by the artists when they upload their material, but they don't always upload all the information, or it may be incomplete.

Cheers, and may the music keep flowing!

Thanks. I'm familar with that.

But I'm talking about the Deezer catalog data base.

If you search on a classical composer by name, you often won't find his works. It's just luck and hard work to find them, usually if their name is listed album title, which often it is not.

That's because the compositions are often listed by the name of the conductor, the orchestra, or performer. Not composer.

That leaves a lot of content impossible or difficult to find, which I would think Deezer would want to avoid (to keep their distributor happy too, I suppose)
