Every week, in my playlist of new releases, fake new songs from artists I follow appear, either because they are miscategorized and belong to another artist with a similar name, or because they are fake songs.
This is starting to be very annoying, as it happens every week even with very well known artists.

For example, this week in my ‘new releases’ playlist it appeared one ‘new song’ from MIKA, but it’s not from him:

It has also happened with another Spanish known artist called ‘CHANEL’ which I follow her:

And there are A LOT of fake songs in her profile/artist page:

This has also happened this week with another fake song linked to the international artist 'Alida':

I have been using the 'Report a problem' option from the web version of Deezer for many months now, but this problem is still not fixed (I wish this reporting option was also on the mobile app).

Please, we need a solution urgently to all these problems, because lately using Deezer has been very frustrating.

Thank you

This actually happens on all platforms. Some are just faster at solving these issues. We can do our part by reporting them or submitting a Deezer support ticket. I can usually get them to fix the artists I follow within a few days.

I have the same “problem” with the Monday releases. To the point I don’t even take a look at the Monday releases any more.

For example: hardrock band Grand. The name is too common, there are many many more that are using the same name.

In Deezer:
https://www.deezer.com/nl/artist/496178

The page is with so many other artists that aren’t this Grand.

In YTM:

Close, almost good.

Tidal is also a mess with Grand.

The only one that does it correct is Spotify:

But like @Marcormark is saying, this happens on most of the steaming services.

I’ll keep on reporting it.

Having the same issue over and over again. This is ridiculous.

I too want to be able to contribute in making artist profile pages be more organized and correct. I see a LOT of hard dance artists with either music spread over several artist pages or an artist with multiply discographies added due to the name being too common or non-original.

I have recently reported a lot of albums and artists with mixed content. I suppose I should use the “This album wasn’t recorded by this artist.” and Deezer will sort the albums and singles by themselves?

Few questions

  1. I suppose the bigger the artist, the quicker it will be fixed?
  1. What should I do if I find an artist with 50+ singles on their profile and I know there should be different versions/pages for said artist, and these singles should be assigned specific artists, but they don’t exist yet on Deezer?
See Murdock at Deezer as the profile is merged with at least three different artist.. There are for example both a Drum N’ Bass and a Hardstyle artist named “Murdock”.
  1. Personally I would love to help out organizing the artist profile pages for hard dance (or even any EDM genre).
Edit: If someone from a team working with sorting reported mixed contents would need help, feel free to send me a message and I’d be more than happy to help out.

I usually just submit a request to Deezer support, but I saw @Nina Nebo successfully reported them here as well:

I thought that post was only meant for artists whose releases was released on wrong artist page.

If I would report the artists I wanted on that post, I would hijack that whole post with pages of reports 😂

@HVRIZON Best thing to do in these cases with multiple songs/discographies is to contact our Deezer Support Team and one of our agents will be able to help with each request.
Thanks
