L’Impératrice (“The Empress”) know that a little bit of craziness can make things in life easier. The six bring the carefree lightness of an afternoon wasted on the promenades of southern France to the World.
The band was formed in Paris. This is where L’Impératrice grew in 2012, where they refined their sound, which was trained by well-known compatriots such as Air.
And their legs are always tapping to the groove of their idols Chic and Sister Sledge.
Fluffy funk meets rich disco sounds and laid-back synth pop, alternating between English and French.
What began as a one-man project became a tight-knit sextet. A truly imperial dance experience.
L'Impératrice are:
Piano: Charles de Boisseguin
Guitar: Achille Trocellier
Electric bass: David Gaugué
Vocals: Flore Benguigui
Piano: Hagni Gwon
Drums: Tom Daveau
Definitely recommended for anyone who likes French music or just wants to hear something light and easy.
