Here comes the new beta 8.0.45, we hope you will like the improvements made in this version. Do not hesitate to give your feedback!

Improvements:

▷ [FAVORITES] In the “Playlists” section preview of the Favorites tab, playlists are now ordered as follows :

personal playlists (i.e. playlists created by the user) ranked by recently played in priority
personal playlists ranked by recently updated (when there is no listening history anymore)
then, other playlists using the same ranking (i.e. recently played, then recently updated)

▷ [SETTINGS] We added an “Accessibility” entry in the “About” section of the app settings
Tapping it redirects users to Deezer’s webmobile accessibility page where Deezer’s accessibility statement and multi-year accessibility plan are available.

Bug fix:

▷ [PLAYLIST] Fixed the font used in custom playlist covers

Were there changes made to Android Auto?

It looks weird now in my car, almost like it was designed for a smaller screen and so the spacing of the controls is off.

It also keeps forgetting what was playing every time I hop in the car, so I have to select a Playlist and hit shuffle again.

Were there changes made to Android Auto?

Any updates on this? It's incredibly annoying and somewhat dangerous (to have to mess with deezer while driving).

@TehPenguin Hello 👋
We didn’t change a thing about our Android Auto application, but Google did with a recent design update of Android Auto UI. Here is an article about this update explaining the changes Google did: https://www.phonearena.com/news/android-autos-new-look_id172925
We can’t do anything about it on our side as all we do is communicating the data to the system and then Android Auto shows it with its own interface.

About forgetting the playing tracks when connecting to the car, we are currently investigating this issue and will publish an update as soon as we have something.
