Here comes the new beta 9.0.9we hope you will like the improvements made in this version. Do not hesitate to give your feedback!

Improvements:

▷ [AUTO] We released a complete UI redesign for our Android Auto integration, featuring:

  • an updated app structure, including the new “Recents” tab

  • refreshed all visual assets across Android Auto, including tab icons, favorites list icons, and player controls

  • a CMS-powered homepage , including smart playlists, Flow moods & genres, and track mixes, for a more dynamic experience

▷ [AUTO] We introduced a brand new "Explore" tab that brings together podcasts and radio content in one convenient place, replacing the previous “Radio” tab

▷ [DOWNLOADS] We investigated and optimized the loading time of the “Downloaded music” page

▷ [FAVORITES] We harmonized the sort options order across favorite playlists, albums, and artists for a more consistent experience

▷ [FAVORITES] We moved the “Create a playlist” entry from the list of playlists to a “+” button in the top app bar, making the list cleaner

▷ [HOMEPAGE] The quick access feature is now available to free users

As a reminder, this feature allows users to pin their favorite content (playlists, artists, tracks, albums, smart tracklists, Flow, podcasts, radios) to the top of the homepage for quick access.
When a free user plays a pinned track from the quick access section, they get a 30 second preview plus a bottom sheet to launch a mix (conversion bottom sheet, MOD‑compliant).

▷ [HOMEPAGE] We updated the quick access visibility rules so the section only appears if the user has at least one pinned item, or if there are 3+ suggestions

▷ [MESSAGING] We adjusted the padding in the notification center, ensuring titles are better aligned with their respective content

▷ [SEARCH] The search home page can now host promolinks (e.g. special sections like Concerts or Shaker) defined server‑side, making the page more flexible for content and campaigns

▷ [SEARCH] Smart playlists like New Releases, Discovery, and My Top [Month] (aka Smart Tracklists) can now appear as Top results in search results, making it easier to discover curated content
Note: They are displayed using the playlist visual treatment, with “by Deezer” as subtitle.

Bug fixes:

▷ [AUTO] We fixed a case where, when starting Deezer fresh on Android Auto, the queue list button was missing in the player

▷ [CONVERSION] We corrected the Student offer wall display, fixing image padding and cropping issues

▷ [DOWNLOADS] We made sure downloads only resume when a user is connected in order to prevent crashes

▷ [PLAYER] We improved rights checks for offline playback so that all content types in smart cache (incl. smart playlists, albums, artist top and favorite tracks) are properly played while offline

Thanks for solving the problem described here. With this beta, the “queue” button is visible and I can choose the song I want.
