Android Beta Release Note 9.0.19

Feature:

▷ [ANDROID AUTO] Android Auto and Waze users can now browse the full track list of a playlist directly within the car interface and select individual tracks to play, instead of immediately launching playback

Improvements:

▷ [LIBRARY] Search results on favorite screens (albums, playlists, artists and downloads) are now always displayed in list mode, even when grid mode is active, making it easier to scan results quickly

▷ [LIBRARY] A "Recently played" sort option has been introduced on the favorite artists page, making it easier for users to find the artists they've been listening to most lately — it becomes the new default sort for the current user's page

▷ [PLAYER] The audio output menu has been revamped with a clearer new design, bringing together Bluetooth and Google Cast options in one place — no more navigating between multiple icons and menus to manage your device connections
Note: Cast devices are not visible in the new menu for now. They will be added in the near future.

▷ [REMIX] A confirmation dialog box is now shown when users trigger the Android back gesture while creating a remix, preventing accidental loss of work in progress
 

Bug fixes:

▷ [CONVERSION] We fixed an issue where two paywalls were stacked on top of each other when opening the app from a marketing email, causing the paywall not to dismiss properly when tapping "Continue with ads" 

▷ [LIBRARY] The "Recently played" sort option is now hidden from other users' favorite playlists pages, as it is only relevant to the current user's own library

▷ [LOGIN/SIGNUP] We fixed a bug where the smart login screen was lost after completing the onboarding journey, ensuring users can properly finalize their smart login session

▷ [ONBOARDING] We made sure the homepage is immediately refreshed with the correct data after library import (via Tune My Music) completes in the foreground during onboarding

▷ [PLAYER] We fixed a bug where the "Add to queue" and "Play next" options were missing from the context menu of playlists and albums while Flow was playing

▷ [PLAYER] We corrected the wording used for the CTA button of the "Play next" confirmation message when adding a playlist to queue from its options menu, so that the proper action label is displayed

▷ [PLAYLIST] We fixed a visual glitch where the shuffle button was briefly visible and out of place during the animation when activating the search bar in a playlist

▷ [SETTINGS] We fixed several visual inconsistencies in the settings redesign, including icon sizing, missing dividers, incorrect font size and incorrect spacing between sections
