will not download anything

How do I know if my songs are downloading? I'm trying to download my favorites list (67 songs) and nothing is happening. It says download starting and then nothing else. I waited about 10 minutes and turned the wifi off but when I do that all the songs Grey out and will not play. Also podcasts will not download, there is not even a download option on the episodes. I am a brand new subscriber so I'm hoping I'm just missing something.

In playlists and albums you can activate the switch for download (framed in yellow). As soon as a song has been downloaded, a green dot appears in front of the song name.

Do you store your music on SD card? If so, change to internal storage (Settings -> Data & Storage)
