What did you do?!? if it ain't broken don't fix it!!!

Android mobile: This app worked flawlessly just a week ago.. Then do I started getting the dreaded "Error: failed to play." Message.. Again.. At first it was only halfway through a song. That's irritating enough. Now it's every song all the time.. App is completely useless now. What am I paying for guys?? I would much prefer to opt out of updates if it's not going to function afterwards.. I gotta have my tunes when I'm on the road. I've done every procedure. I have restarted my phone. I have cleared the cache and data I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, twice. Still doesn't function no change.. Can we please fix this.

Hi @Wolfofred

Can you tell us which Deezer update you are running? The current release is 8.0.15.5.

This is the release I’m using right now and I don’t have any issues.

If you want to can download an older version at:

https://www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=apk&s=deezer

And maybe this will solve your problem.

(I don’t know if you know how to install an APK?)

I am having the same exact issue. It seems like it began with the previous update. It's only when I'm searching for tracks and open a playlist  related to the original search which all show the error message you described. Frustrating

Hi @Wolfofred @dfwhardhead have you tried the following troubleshooting?

Have you tried using the app with a different internet connection (Wi-Fi vs. mobile data)?

So, not sure how this is related but, I was having this exact issue as posted a few comments up "Error, failed to play" . (Galaxy Note 10+)

My micro sd card was on its way out, which I was aware of. As soon as I replaced the sd card the error went away and has been working since.

Thank you, @dfwhardhead what a strange coincidence. I just read this today but discovered this yesterday by accident. I tried literally every suggestion 20 times without any progress. I couldn't get anywhere, turned out my SD card is corrupted. I switched the storage to my phone instead of my SD card and now everything functions perfectly..
