I have 4900+ songs in my list & the same 50 songs keep coming up. I used to pay but I stopped because it was to expensive. I’m a free user.

Wheatus came up with one song in between.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the song, but twice with 1 song in between. I listened to it the next day & today.

I’ve gone into settings & deleted what I could (without deleting all). The same thing happens - I get the same 50 songs coming up. I love KMFDM but Godlike is all that comes up. I have 20 tracks but the only one I hear is Godlike.

I can’t remember the last time I heard The Tiger Lillies or Nancy Sinatra. Your algorhythm is all screwy.

My phone is an Andriod last years model. The same thing happens on my computer.

Please fix this.

Hi @strerd I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this problem.
Did the same happened before when you had a Premium subscription?
Please get in touch with our Deezer Support Team and one our agents will check your account and follow up with the music to help with your request.
Thanks :)

No - I cancelled it way back in September. The problem just started in March & April

I took further screenshots. I have yet to Hear the Tiger Lillies but I heard another track by KMFDM so there’s hope.

Hold up - my music has reverted back. I get 75-100 songs on repeat.

I am contacting Deezer suppert now.

Hey @strerd 👋

We cleared the cache of your account from our system and re calculated the metadata of all your playlists, this will help to get a better algorithm in your account and better recommendations.

Give it some time, like 24h-48h for this change to start to happen!

Let us know how it goes, please 😁

Thanks - no changes yet - it’s been 18 hours.

It’s been 24 hours & 2 in 25 songs are coming up like before. I’ll wait another 24 hours.

Please ensure that your AI algorithm plays normally before you implement it - for free & paying customers alike.

I’d like to go back to random playlist (NOT AI) until you figure this out.

It’s been over 60 hours & I get 3 new songs out of 60+.

Please put me on a TRUE random (& NOT AI) generated playlist.

12 Days + 4 day after they messed with my algorythm & I started keeping track of it.
I have 4,963 track in "Favorite Tracks" but I'm limited to 500 + tracks & that's it. I can add new music but I can't listen to it..
Any playlist I go to is the same. I'm limited to 70-100 tracks (I have artists organized by year & genre). I could have listened to music I liked but that stopped in March 2025)
On top of that my music stops playing 2-5 times a day. I have to stop what I'm doing & let the playlist reset after 20 seconds.
I'm not paying for Premium (although I have in the past) unless you get this sorted out. Your algorithm is screwed up. Paying for something that is broken is no way to get it fixed.
New music is added daily, but I can't listen to it because your AI algorithm plays old music ad infinitum.
According to the app, in May, 2025, R.L Burnside, KMFDM, & The Smalls are my favorite bands. They were there last month. With no updates to the app, I'm sure they will be there next month.
On the 12 day it updated to 8.0.39.3. No change in music. The skipping for 20 seconds & time-outs remain.
6.03.2025 - I got a message from Deezer saying that the problem would be fixed in 24-48 hours (12 days in). We'll see. I cleared my cache 15 days ago (& uninstalled from my phone completely & reinstalled it).
4 days later, the AI is broken. I get 2 songs out of 72 that I haven't heard a million times.

The steps I’ve taken before the problem happened:

-stopping the app

-clearing the cache

-rebooting the phone

-uninstalling & reinstalling the app (both on my phone & computer)

I did this on my own with no help from Jeampy N (my Deezer support staff who suggest I should pay for Premium & that was it). Paying for something that is broken has no incentive to get people working on it.

On top of this my phone app crashes 2-5 times a day. I have to stop what I’m doing & wait 20 seconds for it to restart.

I’ve spent too much time making a Google spreadsheet listing how many times I’ve heard the same songs over & over. If you want it, you’re welcome to it.

It pains me to do so but I’m switching back to Spotify. With all thier unprompted songs, at least I get a true mix with AI fouling it up.

If you get it working, I’d be happy to come back.

Hello @strerd 👋

Now that the cache has been cleared in your account, if you are now on Deezer Free, I would suggest you to listen to your Favourites and the music that you like the most, more regularly, to get better recommendations when you are listening to music on the app. That way, you will be ‘educating’ the Deezer algorithm when you play all your favourite music.

Also, this will help you to get different songs played if you use the ‘Flow’ on the app 👌

I have a good idea of what I like. It’s random play.

Your AI algorithm is self-defeating. Playing tracks I’ve already heard leaves no room for new music. I refer you back to Top Tracks. They were the same last month & 2 & 3 months ago. I listen to it for 5 hours a day. I have a good idea.

Any playlist is the same. I get 50-70 tracks & 1 of them is new. At least with Spotify I get true random play (if I have to hear songs that aren’t in my playlist I can skip them).

Please rectify this & please fix the pausing for 20 seconds glitch (only on my phone).
