Hi

Some songs are playing the wrong language when the songs are placed in playlists or in favourite tracks. This happens for some korean songs. If i play them from my favourite tracks it will play the song in Japanese while im actually clicking on the korean version, but when i search the song and play it from the artist page it will play the correct (korean) version. One of the songs that have this issue is “As if it's your last” by “Blackpink”. There were way more songs with this issue, but after i updated the app some songs started playing the correct version again. Before updating the app songs like “Boombayah” by “Blackpink” and “Batter up” by “Babymonster” were also playing in janpanese instead of korean, but “as if it's you last” and some other songs are still bugged in the latest version.

It's a little weird because if actually add both the korean and japanese version of the songs in my favourite tracks, it will both play in japanese. The only way for me to play the original (korean)  version is by searching for the song and playing it from the artist page.

 

I asked a friend to reproduce the bug on her phone, so different phone and different account. She also has this bug but for her it's the other way around. “As if its your last” plays the correct (korean) version in her favourite tracks, but when she plays the song by using the search function it wil actually play in japanese.

 

EDIT: This only happens for me in the mobile version. The web version is working perfectly fine for me

Could you send me the links for “As If It's Your Last” by BLACKPINK? One from your playlist or favourites (where it plays in Japanese) and the other from the artist page (where it plays in Korean).

That’ll make it easier for us to figure out what’s going on.

This is very weird… This bug was happening for over a month, maybe even longer, but for some reason if i play the song now it acually plays the song corectly. I checked it 4 hours ago before i created this topic, but at that time the bug was still happening.

Could it be possible that this bug was related to the “wrong track availabilty status” bug that greyed out songs in playlists? Because ​@greg_deezer said that the fix for that bug needed some time to spread to the whole catalog, and it's only been 2 days since that bug was fixed. All the other songs that were playing in the wrong language are also working corectly now.

Btw, for some reason after this bug magically got fixed today, it swapped the lyrics of the song with the other version. So the korean version has japanese lyrics and the japanese version has korean lyrics. It wasn't like this a few hours ago when the song was still bugged. Both the phone app and web version have wrong lyrics now.

It could definitely be linked to the “greyed out songs bug” since it was also about tracks availabilities and fallbacks (songs that you would fall back on if it’s taken down or if there is no right in your country for example).

So, the fix for the unavailable songs is still spreading and it could explain why this issue “disappeared” along with it.

Could the bug that greyed out songs also be a reason why the lyrcis button is fucked on a lot of songs? Because for a lot of songs it disappeared, and as far as i know this also happened with the same update that greyed out songs. Some songs have duplicates on Deezer, for example “goodbye” by the kid laroi is on 2 different albums (normal and deluxe album) , and before the update that started greying out songs they both had lyrics, and now only one does. If i downgrade the app to the version before the songs were being greyed out, the lyrics on both version will come back. This bug happens with a huge amount of songs, only thing is that its still hapenning.

I was checking what you describe but I’m not sure to follow: which lyrics button is malfunctioning on your side?

Because there is no more mic icon in the playlists pages.

As for the title you mentioned specifically, it seems that lyrics are available for both.

The lyrics button for the song I described came back an hour after I told about it, but another hour later it was gone. Not only that song but all the songs I grabbed of the non deluxe album. For all the other songs the button seems to be completely back

 

The songs I added from the non deluxe album seems to be bugged completely, when I click the "go to album" button it leads me to the deluxe album, but there it shows the songs are not added to my favourites. Also the non deluxe album doesn't show on the artist page anymore


OK, then I suggest we wait until things settle down first.

And if there is still an issue, I’ll check with the team in charge of the catalog.
