Shuffle button missing while casting from Deezer Android app to anything.

Like the title says, shuffle icon disappears the moment you start casting.


I wonder what possible reason you would have for this behaviour?

    Just to let you know, the feature is still up and running on the Web and Desktop app, plus you can keep shuffling your favorites on mobile.

    We've thrown the question to our developers to find out if the button will be making a comeback on mobile anytime soon. Once they spill the beans, I'll make sure to loop you all in.

    GREAT! So, now I can just take my desktop pc with me when I go outside walking, or driving my car...

    I cant find where i play shuffle playlist on the new update of deezer.

      The feature on My Favourites which allows you to shuffle your entire library has gone. I actually may leave Deezer now. Also don't like loss of album length & most played track info either. Logo is worse. The Nov' 23 update makes the service worse. 

      Interesting, I can shuffle my “Favorite Tracks” on Android.

      Which version are you using?

      It's about shuffle all music. The most used feature of Deezer...

      Hi Everyone! I am not sure if this is very reassuring but I received a reply by Deezer Mobile App developers via Google Play stating: “Hi, we are currently working on improving the Shuffle my Music feature to deliver a better experience”

      Don’t know if this is actually good news or what it really means but it seems that definitely we will not have the button easily and quickly replaced the way it was. Let’s hope at least  it does the same thing or better whenever it comes back.

      Agreed. I'm on Beta 8.0.1.5. Dated 14 Nov. Not fixed.

        Hi @Michele.Stress.Muliere @Harry Beahen @Dawg @Captain_Eric1, looking at the reply of our colleague, it seems she might not have understood correctly which shuffle you were referring to.

        It appears that she understood you were talking about the shuffle on the player. Apologies for any misunderstanding.

        Regarding your question, the feature is still up and running on the Web and Desktop app, plus you can keep shuffling your favorites on mobile.

        We've thrown the question to our developers to find out if the button will be making a comeback on mobile anytime soon.  We have just heard they are considering bringing it back but in a different place in the app.

        Once we have more news I will make sure to loop you all in.

          If you search here in the Community you’ll find many topics regarding the shuffle option.

          You can only use it on the Web and the desktop. Deezer knows about this and hopefully there will be a fix soon.

           

           

          So, I'll have to install my PC in the gym? Or bring my desktop with me in my car?

          Hope they fix it soon!

            We don't have the concrete plans for Chromecast yet but I can assure you that our big focus for 2021 is to improve connectivity and these existent integrations :thumbsup_tone2:

            @Leonídia.Deezer , if my calendar is right, 2021 is long gone.

            This issue is of course 100% related to this one, which dates back to 2018(!).


            Chromecast support has been completely broken for more than 5.5 years now, and the linked issue is even stamped “Not for now / we don’t care!”.

            I can live with the new design and the annoying auto-scrolling, I can get used to the new logo … but please make sure that core features are working!

            Every time I have friends over I’m kind of ashamed that I’m using Deezer because you can’t add anything to a queue wile casting as I once told that Deezer was superior over Spotify. But boy, I was wrong. 😞
