Question

restricted content can be played via Search results

I have disabled explicit content on a family member's profile, and explicit songs and albums do show up on the home screen.

This is not a problem however, if you attempt to play them the option is disabled.

However if I search for a song or artist and the result contains explicit content, e.g Rage Against The Machine. If I click that search result the song will play.

Can this be addressed to ensure Explicit content, that is marked as explicit content, cannot be played under any circumstances when it is blocked on the profile.

Hi @Ross Morris !

To hide explicit songs on Deezer, go to Settings > Music > Content preferences > Manage explicit content, then select "Hide explicit content" (which requires first choosing "Do not recommend explicit content") to gray out and block them in searches, Flow, and recommendations .

For Individual Accounts (App/Desktop):
Open Deezer and tap your Profile icon (top left).
Tap the Settings cog (top right).
Go to Music, then Content preferences.
Select Manage explicit content.
First, toggle ON "Do not recommend explicit content" (stops recommendations in Flow/mixes).
Then, select "Hide explicit content" to make them unplayable and hidden from searches.

For Deezer Family (Admin Account):
Log in as the Admin and go to Settings.
Select Plan Management, then Manage my accounts (or Members).
Find the profile you want to manage, click the three dots (...), and select Edit profile.
Toggle "Hide explicit content" to enable it and Save.
