The Android application has major problems loading audio tracks. It takes over a minute to load a track in HIFI. Yet I have over 100mps and HIFI only requires 10mps! The application works abnormally in offline mode, and the sequence of tracks repeats itself... There's also a bug when swiping between tracks in the player in offline mode.

Hi @Minimoon, sorry to hear that you are having that experience.

Regarding the problem with loading audio tracks, can you please confirm if your cell phone is in battery saving mode, if so, can you try change it and check if your problem is solved.
The use of VPNs or Proxy connections can interfere with the performance of the app. Also, some antiviruses can also poorly the user experience.
For a better understanding of the procedures to be adopted, access this article Problems with reproduction.

Concerning the offline mode, please check if you did all the procedures to download your music:

-Go to Favorites favorites.
-Select the Music tab to view all of your favorite tracks, albums and playlists
-Select the Podcasts tab to view all of your favorite podcast episodes or series

-Select DOWNLOAD to make your content available for offline listening
If so, you can , try close completely the app from the background and when you open it again, content will be downloaded.
Other tip that normally works most of the times, is to switch to offline Deezer app and when you turn it on again, app will start your downloads.

About the tracks repeats itself, can you tell me where this is happening? Flow, Mix, etc.

Finally, regarding the issue when swiping between tracks in the player in offline mode, can you expand more.
It would be great if you could share a video of the issues you have plus the model of the device you are having issues with, the operating system version (Android, iOS) installed on your device, the version of Deezer and a screenshot of Data & Storage by going to the Deezer app, settings.

Clearing the app cache and data can sometime resolve performence issue. Go to your device setting, find the app in the application manager, and clear the cache and data from there.

I made several times this manipulation, recently, I went back unfortunately to adsl, vdsl with a speed of 26 mb,s in "download". I tested on my Samsung TV and a google chrome cast if the HIFI work and yes (the logo "HIFI" is present.). There is no interruption, the titles load perfectly. But on the Android mobile version, it's a different story. So I've noticed that rarely, when I've updated the deezer application, the tracks load properly, there's even the white progress bar that appears to indicate that the music you're listening to is being downloaded (I don't know how to explain this process properly, but it's like on youtube, when you load a video, there's a white bar). But after a while this bar no longer appears. What's more, titles load differently on Android - there's a "Smart Cache" that anticipates the downloading of content or a page, so that reading is as quick and fluid as possible. I think this function needs to be reviewed, because sometimes it works well, but most of the time it doesn't. When I select a title and it takes too long to load, I move on to the next one, which loads immediately without the HIFI logo, and then appears. So at this point, I don't understand the app's system, it first loads the title that comes after the title I've selected (the next title). A long time ago, I heard that there was a refactoring of the Android app to improve its performance. Is this still the case? On the Android app, there are a lot of other bugs, especially on the offline mode, which is not well optimized on the player!

Hello @Minimoon thanks for sharing your detailed experience on Deezer app. Nevertheless, I can say that running a couple of test on 3 different Android devices under Android 10, 12 and 13, I can’t reproduce this delays on loading content. Also I can’t reproduce issue on Offline mode. But maybe I am not doing exactly same steps as you are, so would be great if you could record a video for each issue you claim, so we can try here to reproduce them.

Also please share brand and model of the device, confirm if you have an SD card installed and send us a screenshot pressing the Deezer app, then the Gear wheel and choose option “Data and Storage”.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Of course, but i don't know how to send videos on "deezer community” ?

Hi @Minimoon, to upload a video in the community you have to upload it on another site and share the link (on youtube for example), otherwise you can contact our support here and send it to them via email.

When I'm in offline mode, the player has a problem changing titles. When I go back to the previous title and move on to the next one, the titles change, the playlist changes when it should be stable, not changing.  There's also a problem with the next-title button, which flashes. I'm sorry, but I don't know how to explain the problem properly. See for yourself in the video. https://youtube.com/shorts/zk-VOcngU3c?feature=share

There's also a fluidity problem when travelling on deezer between pages. I don't really know how to explain this. The screen seems to turn off and then turn back on again quickly.

This problem appears on all pages and sections except for the new "Concert" section, which doesn't appear at all, it's more fluid. Compare the two videos !

I forgot, i am on Android 12, i use an S10+. Deezer version 7.1.1.43

For the problem of loading tracks, it's OK.

Hello @Minimoon thanks for sharing all those videos.

Do you have an SD card installed?

Have you done the recommendation shared by @LeoJackson  of cleaning cache?

Can you send a screenshot opening Deezer app, then press the Gear wheel and choose option “Data and Storage”.

Regarding the first issue, I tried using Airplane mode, went to an playlist, album and Shuffle Downloaded content and couldn’t reproduce the same issue of going backwards when I press forward.

For the delays on loading and flashing could be related with cache issues. So I would try to go on Deezer app, Gear wheel, Data and Storage, press clean all. Also please slide the smart cache to zero and them move it to 2 GB or maybe a little more.

Let me know how that worked.
