I want to play My Favourites playlist. I play it on shuffle but recently a problem has occurred. Now I keep being told that I HAVE to have Deezer premium to listen to certain tracks, which is false as I listen to those same tracks when in any other playlist. Is this a bug or feature? Is anyone else experiencing this? How can I solve it WITHOUT paying for premium?

It’s sound more like a bug than a feature.

Can you tell us which songs those are? And if this only occors with your Favorites playlist, what is your account name, so that we could see those songs.

There are two songs that I remember: American Idiot by Green Day and Hold Back the River by James Bay.

The account name should be under Charley.Taylor

If you need more information, let me know.

Just to be sure, is this your account:

Like you I’m a Deezer user, but perhaps I can find something or anyone else here?

Hi @AceTheAce could you please share a screenshot with the error message that you mentioned above?
Thanks :)

@awesomemac

Yes that's my account

@Jaime.

This is the message, more specifically the part about needing Deezer premium to play certain songs. This message pops up every time I try to listen to my favourites playlist

@Jaime. Do you have a Free account where you can try this (or anyone else)? I’ve got a Premium account, so I don’t have any issues playing those songs.

@AceTheAce thanks for the info. Could you pleas let me know if the message pops up straight away or after playing some tracks?
I have tested on a Free account and could not reproduce the issue.
Journey: Favourites>Favourite tracks>shuffle
Thanks

@Jaime. I tried it again but rather than being directed to pay for premium immediately, it just told me that I need to pay premium to play certain songs. It's instant after hitting the shuffle button, I can't even listen to anything first. I'm gonna try something real quick to see if this fixes anything.

I got it working. I think it might have been some sort of bug as I'm now able to listen to my music again but I'll update you if any issues come up. So far so good though.

Hi @AceTheAce thank you for letting us know that the issue has been “fixed” for now. And yes, let us know if this returns.
