music spontaneously fails to play on the android mobile app

I have a pixel 6 and just downloaded the Android mobile app on 1/31/26. Songs suddenly stop playing or do not play after clicking the play button. The button switches to display the "pause" option, so it should be playing. 

To fix, I open the app, click the "pause" button, then click the "play" button. Sometimes I must do this twice.

Should I reinstall the app? Does this happen for others?

Try these basic tips:

• Clear the app's cache in Settings -> Data and storage -> Delete all (if you have downloaded tracks, you'll need to download them again)
and Increase the app's cache in Settings -> Data and storage.
