I just received an email from deezer saying new version of deezer on sonos . . . I usually use the sonos ap to play from deezer - downloaded ap, but cant see how it is linked to sonos ?

Yes, there is a new GUI in the Sonos app which also is used by Deezer since June 1st, 2022 now. See this thread on the German forum with screenshots or the one on Reddit:

The big news is the support for Sonos Voice Control including Deezer:

The Deezer Android app does not have a Sonos integration yet, this will probably follow sometime this year.
