Is gapless broken on Android?

I noticed that gapless is a little bit bugged on my android device. I'm having an issue where the next song actually comes in a little bit too early? It's really noticeable for me on albums which are supposed to have seamless transitions and it can be quite annoying. And yes, I tried different audio qualities, but it happens on Standard, HQ and Hi Fi.

The transitions are flawless on the website player. I'm wondering if this is a known bug.

Hi @Arion3 I’ve tested on my side and could not notice any problem.
Could you please send a couple of examples in order to test again with those same tracks?
Also, do you have the latest update of the Deezer app in your Android phone?
Thanks

Maybe you have a beta version of the Android app and have also enabled the crossfade feature? It may cause such an effect if buggy, i.e. trying to join tracks which are already joined due to being gapless? The web player does not offer crossfade, so that would explain why you only hear this in the Android app.

Sorry for a late response

1. I made sure that I had the latest updates on Deezer, and the issue still persisted. The most noticeable broken transition I could find is probably between "SKINNY" and "LUNCH" on Billie Eilish's album "HIT ME HARD AND SOFT" but at this point I won't be surprised if I'm the only person having this issue somehow.

2. I have not used Deezer Beta so it can't be the crossfade option, but I also find it weird that I only notice it on my Android app.

I agree, I notice this too, on last Android app version for Galaxy 24. As a sidenote, the gapless support on my various hifi systems (Yamaha, Technics, Ruark) is not consistent, Technics being the better. Makes me doubt the transition from Spotify to Deezer. Should be addressed.

I'm having this issue. Noticable while listening to Dark Side of the Moon

Ok i decided to give Deezer another try and noticed something else - this isn't an issue with gapless playback, songs on their own also cut off just a tiny bit too early. also tried clearing my app data and cache and still nothing. Pretty weird. Really wish this was fixed because it's the only thing holding me back from fully committing to Deezer.
