Google Assistant integration.

Hi,

 

What is the state of play with regard Google Assistant integration on Android (Google Pixel 7 Pro). Anyone get it to work properly? I live in Ireland and when I ask it to play an album it will often times play a completely unrelated playlist or get the artist wrong. It won't even play my saved playlists properly. Very frustrating.

hey Utah @Rory Kelly ,

 

on my pixel 6a just now:

“Hey Google, play the album Face Value by Phil Collins on deezer.”

Deezer app opens, “In The Air Tonight (2015 Remaster)” plays.

“Hey Google, play the playlist “100% Jon Secada” on deezer.”

Deezer app plays “Just Another Day” by Jon Secada, as part of the “100% Jon Secada” playlist.

I think all of the virtual assistants struggle to a certain extent, and wording things slowly and carefully helps me. Might be our phones, too. 

So it’s fully integrated for me, I guess.

Hey Gropler,

 

Thanks for the reply. That's weird that you seem to have such functionality. With Spotify or Apple music on my phone it integrates well with Google Assistant. However, Spotify does not have HIFI and Android Apple Music is a glitchy app that is a pain. Deezer is so close to being perfect for me which is unfortunate. Looks like I'll stick with Apple 😔
