Equalizer auto turn off when I switch to another song

Hello.

I would like to repopen a discussion (firstly opened by SoloWingX) :

Each time I switch to the next song, the equalizer instantly turn off. I have to open it (shortcut un the down left corner > equalizer) and it instantly turn on.

Strange thing is that the issue only appears when I manually switch tot he next song, no problem when the app switch to the next song by itself (when the previous one is finished).

Thanks :) !

Hey @TitouanNlt

Can you show me screenshots or a video of how the equalizer resets when you change the track please? And also tell me the Android version installed in and the Deezer app version? 🤔

Then I can investigate it.😊

Hi, I'm having the same issue. I've seen you ask that question before.

Please explain to me how we screenshot audio. (Rhetorical question)

I'm on a Nokia G20 and same thing Equalizer is set but from time to time the Equalizer does not kick in on a song, it's just unequalized music, until you click settings up the top, audio in the middle, audio output which brings up

And then as soon as you click Equalizer it starts the Equalizer and the sound changes as the Equalizer settings page comes up where it is already set to how it was before it turned itself off.

If I just let whatever is on the playlist play it stays on. If I click next or choose another song from any playliat it turns off again until I go through the options again. Literally just happened again between me posting screenshot 1 and me clicking next to test it again.

Its not resetting settings it's just flat out turning itself off if you do anything outside of letting it just play the next listed song, although the on off slider remains on

Happens on all of my headsets both wired and Bluetooth.

Literally exactly as op posted and the other closed thread with no solution on it explains.

Android 12

Deezer 7.0.25.49

Clearing app data doesn't fix it.

Issue not fixed with latest update

Hello,

The same thing is happening to me. I like a little more bass, and when it switches to the next song the equalizer turns off and then my ears hurt.

Hello @Tulala yes unfortunately this issue has not been fixed yet :( but our teams are aware of it!

Another update - Two days ago Equalizer crashed entirely in the middle of a song. It is now completely greyed out entirely and doesn't work at all even after clearing data and cache and uninstalling and reinstalling Deezer. Nothing else on the phone has updated and I'm on the latest Deezer version from last week.

To reiterate - Equalizer now entirely dead as of two days ago, can be selected in menu, is completely greyed out and unavailable at all. Persists through phone restarts and app cache clearing and uninstall reinstall.

Music now unbearably loud and tinny. If not resolved might have to cancel subscription and move on after a good 3 years or so.

Another update, Equalizer still completely broken.

Check audio player settings: If you are using a specific audio player software, check its settings for any options related to the equalizer. Make sure that the equalizer settings are set to stay enabled or active when switching between songs. Look for any options like "Keep EQ on" or "Apply EQ to all tracks." Device audio settings: If you are using a mobile device or computer, check the audio settings in the device's system preferences. Look for any options related to audio effects, equalizer, or enhancements. Ensure that any settings related to the equalizer are enabled or set to remain active during play..   Update audio drivers: Outdated or incompatible audio drivers can sometimes cause issues with equalizer settings. Make sure that your audio drivers are up to date. Visit the manufacturer's website for your device or sound card to download and install the latest drivers.
