looks like it might be a bug, will likely be resolved as deezer makes their way through the refresh.

Indeed, the Deezer album on the player UI doesn't display the streaming quality like HQ or HiFi.
It is "just" a display issue, if you have set to HiFi audio quality, they play the right quality.
Our teams are already aware of this but the fix as not been released yet.
