I've been having issues for months now with the app constantly just closing itself. Any ideas what this can be?

It's completely up to date my phone is new, no idea what it is and it's getting to the point where I might just convert to Spotify, had this account for almost 10 years and it's driving me mad now

Did you make sure battery optimization is not on for Deezer ?

Which phone do you have ?

I didn't know you could do this so not sure? I've got a Samsung galaxy s22 ultra

Hello,

I've experienced comparable issues in the past, and I recognize how maddening it can be.

From my knowledge, there could be several potential reasons for this recurring problem. It would possibly be worth checking if there are any current software updates reachable for your phone or the app itself. Sometimes, a simple update can resolve such issues. Additionally, clearing the cache of the app or reinstalling it could also help.

If you've got already tried these steps and the problem persists, it might be a accurate idea to reach out to the app's consumer support.

Apps can sometimes crash when storage space is not adequate. You will need to free up your storage space by removing unwanted apps and files. Go to Settings -> Apps to uninstall unwanted apps and games.

I've been experiencing a recurring issue for several weeks now, where the app on my phone keeps unexpectedly closing by itself. It's frustrating because I've made sure to keep both the app and my phone up to date. Despite having this account for almost a decade, I'm starting to consider switching to Spotify out of sheer frustration. It's essential for me to have a reliable app that doesn't disrupt my user experience. Can you provide any insights into what might be causing this persistent problem and offer suggestions on how to resolve it? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @NikoClayton, sorry to hear that.
Can you give me more details about your situation? Did you check if the battery optimization is not on for Deezer? Did you try clearing the cache of the app or reinstalling it?
If you already did all the suggested procedures, please answer the following questions:
• Have you tried to log out and log in again with the email address?
• What's the brand and model of the device you are having problems with?
• What's the version of the operating system (Android, iOS, Windows or Mac) installed on your device?
• If you're using our app, what's the Deezer version installed on your device?
• If you're using Deezer on the web browser, what's your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Microsoft Edge)? What's the latest version installed?
Please send me too a video with all the procedures you do until you get the error message and a screenshot of the app Deezer with the option “Data and storage”.

If you've been dealing with the frustrating issue of your app constantly closing itself for months, despite having an up-to-date phone and a new device, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem. First, ensure that the app itself is updated to the latest version, as app updates often include bug fixes and stability improvements. If the issue persists, try clearing the cache of virtual assistant and data of the app, which can resolve conflicts or corrupted data. However, keep in mind that clearing data will reset any personalized settings or preferences within the app. Additionally, a simple restart of your phone can sometimes resolve temporary glitches or conflicts. Give your phone a restart and see if that resolves the issue. If none of these steps help, it may be worth reaching out to the app's support team for further assistance.

Hello,

From my knowledge, there could be several potential reasons for this recurring problem. It would possibly be worth checking if there are any current software updates reachable for your at download zed music mp3 phone or the app itself. Sometimes, a simple update can resolve such issues. Additionally, clearing the cache of the app or reinstalling it could also help.

hSometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches or memory-related issues that could be causing the app to close unexpectedly. Ensure that you have the latest version of the app installed on your device. App updates often include bug fixes and stability improvements that can address issues like app crashes. Go to your device's settings, find the app in question, and clear its cache and data. This action will remove temporary files and reset the app to its default settings, potentially resolving any underlying issues. If clearing the cache and data doesn't help, you can try uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it from the official app store. This can sometimes resolve more persistent problems,..

Experiencing a persistent issue with an app that constantly closes itself can be frustrating. This behavior is often caused by various factors. One common reason is insufficient memory or system resources, leading the app to crash abruptly. Software bugs or coding errors within the app's programming may also result in instability, causing it to close unexpectedly. Using an outdated version of the app may lead to compatibility issues with the device's operating system or other software components. Additionally, conflicts with other running apps or background processes can trigger app crashes. Overheating of the device due to heavy usage may also contribute to this problem. To resolve the issue, consider updating the app, clearing cache, restarting the device, or checking for software updates to address any compatibility or bug-related issues.

Have you tried clearing the app cache or reinstalling it? Sometimes, that helps fix glitches. Also, check for any background apps that might interfere.

I totally understand your frustration about the app suddenly closing. It's been bothering me too. I've got a new phone and everything's up-to-date, so it's a mystery. I'm thinking of switching to Spotify out of sheer frustration. I've been loyal for nearly a decade, and this issue is driving me crazy. This thread's related to the same community, so I hope someone figures out a fix soon. It'd be a shame to leave after all these years. Go to original page to fix all kinds of errors like this.

Hey @Stewart89

Have you checked that battery optimization is not on for the Deezer app?

If that doesn’t help, could you let us know the model of the device that you are using for Deezer 📱 and the software version installed on the device, please?

We would appreciate if you can share with us a short video of the journey since you open the app, play some music and navigate through it until it shuts down so we can check it out.

As an alternative solution, I would suggest you to try out the BETA version of the app for Android to see if the problem also occurs in there.

Thanks 😄

I had the same issue with Deezer on my new phone. In the system preferences of Android you can go to the apps and there you can choose Deezer and then go to the battery preferences. There you will be able to turn on the background activity.

My screenshots are only in Dutch:

Go to Battery usage (accu verbruik):

And then allow Deezer to run in the background:

(Activiteit op achtergrond toestaan)

That’s great news @awesomemac!

Thanks for sharing with us 😎
