Hello, I see that some of the English in the app is American. My country is set to Canada already, and my phone language is in English Canada and French Canada. But there are items like "Favorite tracks". When I click on it, it becomes "Favourite". It is irritating as we are trying to get rid of American stuff.
Please change these to Favourite, and any other American English words to Canadian or British English. Thank you

I see. I am a bit confused as to how this would not be an easy fix, as it is just spelling.
Also worth mentioning that the app already has that spelling in some areas (please look at 2nd screenshot). If the app already has that spelling in some areas, then isn't it a question of consistency in the app?
Thanks for your answer, tho. Now I know Deezer does not prioritise localisation. And yes, I have non-American options like Spotify and Qobuz. Will cancel my subscription to Deezer.

The country selector does not affect language settings, Deezer relies on your device’s language settings.
The language help page says “You will need to set your desired language in the language settings of your device. The Deezer app will translate to your desired language based on this setting.”
I see that you’ve done that. What device are you using?

Given how interwoven British English, American English, and Canadian English are , I’m guessing that this isn’t going to be an easy “fix” or even something Deezer is going to address. Maybe try changing your phone language to British English as a free and easy troubleshooting step?
If that doesn’t resolve it, it may be something you have to make a decision on as to whether it bothers you enough to consider another service (although not sure what your options would be).

I just really dont understand how text is hard to change in an app. So sorry but if you arent willing to localise for Canadian English, or even just make the spellings in the app consistent, then yeah I will just find a different app. The USA Government has not been respecting Canada, so we are trying to stay away from our former best friend here, including language. Sorry for the inconvenience I caused.

From another Canadian here….will you as well delete all US of A artists from your device? Or world artist supported or distributed by an American label?
