Change storage options seems to be missing on my devices

Change storage option is missing on my devices. Using latest android version. Where have it gone?

Hi @svartpelz to switch storage you just need to press the red link under Storage. You will get option to change. Note, that changing storage, will delete data stored in the previous location.

The point is that I have no red link. The change storage option is gone.

Hello @svartpelz the link is the information written in red. If you press there you should have the option to select where you want to storage content.

In case this doesn’t work for you, please record a video where we can see you pressing that option.
 

As I said that options is nowhere to be found

Hello @svartpelz apologies for the late answer.

In my Samsung phone, I have just installed a very small SD card and immediately I got that option to change location of the data.

Could it be possible that SD card installed on your phone might be faulty or with an incorrect format? The best format is FAT32 that is compatible normally with the common devices.

Maybe you can also try with different SD card of different storage capacity as each mobile device has is own limitations.

And under which condition will the change storage option be availble? When it sometimes appears, sometimes not.
