"App isn't installed" error when trying to use shortcuts on android

I recently changed phone to a Google Pixel 6a (android 13). The app is working great, except for the shortcuts (long press on app grid) which raises an “App isn't installed" error, preventing me from launching my mix or identifying songs being played around me…

I have reinstalled the app several times, deleted both the storage and cache, and I do not know how to get rid of this error...

What about other apps ?

Do you have the same issue with others ?

Do you use the beta version ?

Hi!

Thanks for trying to help me. I do not have this error with any other app (as far as I can tell). I don’t think I am using the beta version, my app is on version 7.0.32.67.

Ho @Abrooch, sorry to hear that experience.
We can’t replicate this issue to our side. This problem can be related with or device so I’m suggesting the following step:

f you are using the battery saving mode on your device, turn it off while you are carrying out this test.
•    Open the Deezer app ➡ Gearwheel in the top right corner ➡ Data and storage ➡ Clear all.
•    Stay on the Data and storage page and under Smart Cache, slide the marker to the left so that it reaches 32Mb, then slide it to the right to reach 2GB (you can move it up to 10GB if your device has that much storage).
•    Tap again on the Gearwheel in the top right corner ➡ Log out at the bottom of the page.
•    Turn off your device for a few seconds then turn it back on.
•    Log in to Deezer with your email and password.
•    Stream a few songs and navigate in the app.

Hi,

I have followed your instructions. Unfortunately, this did not resolve my issue, and the same error remains…

Hello @Abrooch sorry to hear that steps didn’t help.

Can you please try to record a video of the issue as I couldn’t reproduce on my side so far. Thanks

I have to same problem. And it´s not a Pixel problem! Got the same problem on S21 Ultra, S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra. So it has to be a Deezer bug.

•    Stream a few songs and navigate in the app.

⚠ Your Downloaded music on Deezer will be deleted, but you can easily download your favourite playlists and albums from your Favourites.

If the issue persist you can uninstall the app and install the app Deezer:

• Uninstall your Deezer app. Don't worry! It won't delete your favourites.
• Turn off your device.
• If you've a SD card, remove it. If not, go to the next step.
• Turn on you device.
• Reinstall Deezer via Google Play.
• Open Deezer ➡ Log in with your email and password
• Download one album or playlist, and stream a few songs or navigate in the app.

Only once you followed all these steps and you're sure your Deezer app is performing well again, you can insert back your SD card.

I've made a video on my S21 Ultra with all updates installed just after a factory reset. What you are watching is first start-up of Deezer. So you must conclude it's not an account problem since not logged in and not other software, since it's factory. The big had to be with the Deezer app.

same problem here. S23.

Following more investigations, I’ve found following:

Version 7.0.27.27 is working fine, but from 7.0.28.69 and onwards it’s broken.

So my solution for now has been to install 7.0.27.27 from APK. Can¨t wait for Deezer to figure this out.

Hello @markPorter @Dan.Molberg @linds-deezer thanks for your feedback and info shared.

Indeed I also can reproduce the same error message in two different devices.

I will raise the question to our developers to confirm if this is a known issue or if we need to open a new incident.

As soon as I have more news, I will update here. Again thanks

I can confirm, I have the same issue. My Pixel 6 Pro running Android 13 is having the same issue. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps, and they have not helped. I have tried with the regular version of the app as well as the beta.

I am not sure if it matters, but in this screenshot I clicked on the song catcher button

Any news? Because the old 7.0.27.27 had another infuriating bug, it keeps closing without warning.
