Android Widget Broken

The last update broke the Deezer widget in Android. The widget loses focus if the phone screen turns off. Once that happens the pause button no longer works. If a song changes with the screen off, the widget isn't updated. The pause function also fails if the app is opened from the widget. Voice commands are the only way to pause/play once the disconnect happens. Prior to the recent app update even widgets created via apps like KWGT worked. They too are no longer functional.
