Hi- Does anyone know how to stop Deezer from freezing every time an ad is played (the free version)? I’m using my phone and connecting via USB. Also, it doesn’t just freeze, sometimes it will skip slowly through the ad playing microseconds at a time over and over again. I have to physically remove my phone and then force stop it to get anything else to play. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I’ve stepped away from it for a month and then come back and it played a few songs and then started glitching again. I’ve made sure everything is updated. I’m at my wits end.

    We would suggest you to try and perform these steps to see if you can fix the glitch:

    1. Clear cache and data for both Deezer and Android Auto on your phone.
    2. Delete and re-download the Deezer app on your mobile to force it to register with Android Auto.
    3. Check your phone's app battery settings and turn off strict restrictions for Deezer so it runs smoothly in the background.

    That sounds really frustrating. Since you’ve already reinstalled the app and made sure everything is updated, I would try clearing Deezer’s cache/data and testing it without the USB connection to see if the issue is related to the phone to car connection. If it only happens when ads start playing, it could also be an issue with Deezer’s ad playback rather than your phone. If possible try a different USB cable or another device as well. If the problem continues, I would report it to Deezer support with your phone model and app version so they can check for a known issue.
