Album artwork is missing using Deezer

Imho it could be a different issue. 
The bug i discribed in the linked thread appears on Android OS Version 6 if using the latest Deezer app update for Android. 
The Astel and Kern player doesn‘t use Android OS. It‘s got his own native OS. 
But could be that there’s a similar reason for this behaviour on both OS.

Was there an OS update or partial update for deezer on your device in the near past before the problem came up?

Have you tried a hard reset of the player?

I don‘t know this device in detail… has it internal and also SD card memory?

If there are deezer music downloads possible formyour device, please delete and redownload them.

thanks for your post. In answer to your questions

1 There was an update to Deezer just to get it working. I am new to Deezer so I cannot be sure if this issue was apparent before the update.

2 No update of the OS.

3 I have internal as well as SD card memory

4 I have not tried a hard reset of the player

So imho a similar problem as on Android 6 caused by the Deezer update could be possible, but first i would try to clear Deezers data cache if there is this function also part of settings within the Deezer app on your device (like on Android or iOs).

If this does not help, delete deezer from your device (if possible), hard reset (not factory reset) your device and reinstall Deezer. 
 

Can you choose on your device, whether internal memory or SD card is used for Deezer? On Android you can and often internal memory is the better option making less problems.
