Yas, i was shocked too, why would they canceled that it is out of mind, like they instead of improving deezer try to make it worse
whit an increase of price of subscription i am thinkinh if it is worth it
Glad the team decided to change it back. It was great before.
Daft decision to scrap it. Great decision to put it back!
On the subject of sorting - I am totally cheesed off with the totally cavalier attitude Deezer has with sorting - particularly of classical music. Take for example a fabulous album from Herbert von Karajan and the Berliner Philharmoniker. When you want to play this album, you get a hodgepodge mix of tracks - not even the same symphony movements are in order. AND, when you create a playlist and try to ARRANGE the tracks yourself - you can’t even see the full name of the track unless you play it and wait for the scrolling marquee to reveal the last half of the track title (where the movement number is - there’s generally 3 movements in a symphony). So a “do it yourself” playlist takes hours to create, because you have to listen to each one and wait till the scrolled title reveals the info you need to sort it. On the album mentioned, there’s 35 tracks.
Even on a Mac, in Safari, with all the screen real estate of a laptop, you still never see the entire track name.
I know to all you hip hop afficionados out there, this is never a problem - you can always see the entire track names - and I daresay it is irrelevant what order the tracks are played, but for more serious music, particularly instrumental, the composer puts the tracks in the order they SHOULD be listened to, and for classical it is VITAL.
With regard to the impact track sorting has on performance - please, don’t make me laugh - thats just a complete furfy.
I am going to trial Apple Music to determine whether it has a better system for organising my music.
