New Single/New Album Notifications No Longer Showing

The team came back to me and they said you favorited Lana Del Rey on the 18th of February, that may explained why you weren't notified. 😊

It takes some time after you favorited the artist to the system send you notifications about it. 👌🏽

App version is 7.0.21.75  but just to reiterate this also happens using the browser directly not through the app (Google Chrome)

This is not quite correct - I had Lana favourited before - I thought the problem may be resolved by unfavouriting and re-favouriting which I tried a couple of says ago (which I obviously cannot verify worked until she releases new music again).

I can give you another example for the team to review, the artist Tom Rosenthal. I’ve taken a screenshot from the browser directly this time. It shows Tom favourited (and has been for a long time on my account - I have not removed the favourite and reapplied it like I did with Lana). Latest release (The song ‘Buried The Day’) shown in the same image was available 10th February but no notification was ever received for this. 

What is interesting in this example is that - as per second screenshot - I did receive the notification of his prior song ‘World’s Greatest Sleeper’ released on 1st January 2023. So even though he remained favourited something has stopped working between then and now.

Yeap! I returned to them and you favorited her on the same date but on 2021, coincidence, sorry. So, they are checking and doing some tests, because some other users reported the same issue. 🕵🏽

As soon as they return with updates to me I let you know.😊​​​​​

I have the same problem, notifications suddenly stopped popping up in the app a month ago. I have the most recent deezer update for iphone

With the “fix”, I now have a different problem where I’m getting notifications from Artists I have not favourited...

Agree, same issue. I’ve started to receive some notifications this week but for artists I have not favourited.

Hey Yula! Sure - as an example and per the screenshots 1 and 2 below, I received a notification of an album called 'John Eliot Gardiner Conducts Bach' by the artist John Eliot Gardiner even though - as far as I can see - He is not favourited.

Interestingly, whilst I have seen some notifications triggering (mostly for artists I have not liked), there are still instances of new music for artists I have favourited but there is still no notification at all.  See example for the artist 'Sleeping At Last' and their new single 'To Be Enchanted' released 3rd March for which I did not receive any notification at all.

Hello there @ChrisMortlock, favourite artists are now not the only data use to push notifications. 

Your favourites tracks are now being considered by the algorythm,

there is a test ongoing to challenge the algorythm to give the best notifications.

Are you able to confirm with the team that - at a minimum - I will receive notifications for any artist I have favourited (in addition to anything else the algorithm picks up)?

Related issue, I presume: my new release playlist “updated every Friday” didn’t update last week or today 😥
