Hi there, great idea as always! 💡 Technically Mixes are not generated as a playlist but just like Flow a random selection of tracks in line with a them/subject/genre. Still I completely understand that sometimes the Mix is just amazing and you want to be able to have it as a playlist 😉 We'll let the devs and editors know! 👍🏽
This is an amazing feature that I’ve been using on the webpage, but I didn’t find the option to save a mix as a playlist when I create the mix on the android app.
Is it possible to implement that feature in the app?
Just a quick reminder that creating a playlist from a track mix “inspired by...” is already possible in the play queue of the web player and desktop app with the related purple button in the upper right corner. Here is an example screenshot:
Track mix inspired by “I Heard That” by Derek Sherinian, saved in the play queue.
After you have started the track mix, you can open the play queue and click on the purple button at the top right which lets you save the 40 tracks to a new playlist:
You have to fill in the name manually, it will not automatically choose the one from the track mix:
This works with any mix in the play queue, by the way, also with Flow, but you would have to wait until the mix is over and/or you have stopped it, as it will not show the upcoming tracks in advance.
As far as I know, this purple button is not available in the play queue of the mobile apps though.
Yes, that’s true. The purple button is always present on the web or desktop app but I am not able to locate it on the android mobile app (not sure about Apple). That would be an excellent addition for the app usability.
