The subscription is expensive

I was once subscribed to your service sometime this year (2019) and was paying $5.99, which was a reasonable price for me being a college student. I cancelled my subscription recently because I was changing my payment option. However, when I tried to resubscribe, I am now being asked to pay $9.99. This is definitely out of my price range and I’m disappointed that the price changed without me being notified about it (unless there was some promotion going on that I was not aware of). I live in Jamaica and $9.99 when converted to my currency is way too much for me. My country cannot benefit from the student plan option so I am left without the subscription all together. Can you help at all with this? Thanks much for your response!
