Siri and Car Play Issues

Forum|alt.badge.img

I have been using Deezer with Car Play for a few years with zero issues until Monday. It seems after the latest Deezer App update, the issue now occurs.

Whenever I interact with Siri, usually via her reading messages, the music playing in Deezer pauses but doesn’t restart automatically as it used to.

Nothing else has changed in the iPhone set up or in the car.

Waze and Google Maps still work fine and just lower the volume when announcing navigation messages and then raises it again when finished.

Any ideas as to what’s happened and how to fix?

Thanks

@Deano12345 sounds like it may be a bug with the current version. I don’t do betas, so I can’t speak to that.

You could reset your CarPlay (easy and free troubleshooting step).

In your iPhone, go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap your car, then tap Forget This Car

After that, set up CarPlay again.

If that doesn’t resolve it, you may have to ride it out. I’m sure it’s annoying, but still fairly minor.

Best of luck.

Hey @Deano12345

What troubleshooting steps have you already taken?

are you on iOS 18.3.2?

deezer version 10.34.0 (10.34.0.4)?

On 18.3.2 was on 10.34.0 when the issue started. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and now on 10.35.0 via Testflight and still have the issue.

Sorry, forgot to mention i had already tried the Car Play reset pathway but no luck.

I will delete the beta version and go back to the latest release as some people said the beta may fix the issue and it hasn’t. As you say, nothing major, just annoying so i will wait it out.

Thanks for the messages.
