Deezer continues to celebrate the legacy of Beethoven with a star-studded remix compilation!

Beethoven Remixed, an extensive, 14-track release, gives music fans the chance to hear their favorite electronic artists mash up the concert hall with the dance floor :level_slider::man_dancing_tone1:

Each track features innovative, modern-day reimaginings of some of classical music’s most iconic compositions, such as “Moonlight Sonata,” the most popular piano piece sampled by our featured DJs.

This boundary-pushing and first-of-its-kind release combines the timeless sounds of classical music, with the infectious vibrancy of contemporary electronica, like never before :robot:

Highlights include a remix from EDM behemoth Steve Aoki, who delivers a slick, club-ready take on the iconic “Pathétique Sonata,”. Dutch duo Blasterjaxx rework the similarly cherished “Moonlight Sonata,” and Aussie twins NERVO opt for a more refined, cinematic reinterpretation of the same composition, while Parisian rave queen Anetha sculpts it into a pounding techno cut :money_mouth:

Beethoven Remixed is part of Deezer’s “Originals” series and is a companion piece to the contemporary classical piano album Beethoven Recomposed.

Time to check these out, what are you waiting for?! :calling:

I’m the only one waiting for Da Tweekaz Mix? If you kinda get my joke? :joy:

Maybe after they enjoy another Jägermeister and start remixing Beethoven? Anyone?

Hello. So there are things that I really like.

Unfortunately, this playlist “Beethoven Remixed” is not part of it.

Who came up with that? What was Beethoven's crime that made his music so mistreated?

Tastes are different, but in my ears this doesn't work at all → Pain level exceeded.

God knows I'm not a fan of classical music, but the good Ludwig really doesn't deserve that.

I'm going to wash my ears now. Here is a symbolic representation:

Good luck and these are great, something for everyone.

I listen hard dance music daily 100% and this Beethoven Remixed made me listen even his originals.

PS.

Beethoven and Mozart bootleg remixed 9 years ago… so you are late in the game :D

Haha take care of your ears!

I enjoyed it, a modern twist on Beethoven’s music.  Nice to see this type of event i.e. 250th etc being celebrated.

I think so too, it's a good initiative @DrEvil

But it's hard to please everyone, like @dee_dirk pointed out, there's a concern around the remixed work of a genius like Ludwig.

In any case, all your feedback is super welcome!
