Flow via sonos won't let you fast forward or rewind or rewind through a track

Hi, any idea why Flow via sonos won't let you fast forward or rewind or rewind through a track?

If you browse or pick out tracks or play from your favourites it's fine. The little dot that you can drag back and forward on the timer bar will be there for your put your finger on.

But if the track playing is via Flow, the little dot won't be there for you to hold and drag.

I have a Samsung s10+ playing on a Sonos Five, if it makes any difference.

Only seems to be an issue via the Sonos app.

I believe that Deezer are working on enabling their app to play directly on Sonos. Sooner the better!

Thanks.

That's the plan @pmaz

We're working hard on developing our remote control feature - and for devices we'll start with Sonos.

Back to your problem, is the Sonos app up-to-date? I haven't seen a report like this before.

I see this was reported 10 months ago yet I have just got Sonos speakers and am having the same issue, why can we not rewind, replay or move slider forward on tracks under flow? It can be done on individual songs or playlists I choose but as I have speaker playing as I work I leave it on flow mostly and if I step away from desk and come back to a great song half way through I cannot restart it, why?

I hope you fix this asap now as it is ruddy annoying.

Cheers, Nige

@dee_dirk

Thank you for involving. 😉

@Nigel.Knowles

Sorry that i have no good news…

Since flow was integrated on Sonos it was never possible to fast forward or rewind within a track.
Imho there must be a technical problem for the devs to integrate this on the Sonos interface. But don‘t know why.

What i can say is that it must have to do something with the kind of queue. If queue is filled by an album or playlist everything is fine. But if it‘s a mix, and flow is based on mixes technique, it doesn‘t seem to be possible.
If you like to start a typical Deezer mix on Sonos (with the new Deezer design on Sonos that has started this month mixes have gone from your Deezer favorites menu on Sonos) by using the Sonos search funktion (for example search for „pop“) and select „stations“ at the top, you will find Deezer mixes.
Start a mix and you will find out it‘s the same like with flow. 😟

I would love to have the full functionality for flow and mixes on Sonos too, but it seems to be impossible at the moment.
So let‘s hope that Deezer direct control for Sonos is coming as soon as possible.

Thank you for your reply. I hope they can sort it soon as my flow mixes are eclectic and not all one genre so not like normal playlists. I enjoy the variety and surprises Flow throws up, I just wish I had some control on parts of it when playing.

I hope to hear good news from you guys soon.

Cheers, Nige

@Nigel.Knowles

I‘m absolutely with you… flow is great and a big part of my Deezer experience.
If you would have an Apple device, in the meantime AirPlay can be a way to use Flow on your Sonos speakers. But i know… it‘s not that much comfortable. 😕

I have no apple products in my home

Working hard? This was 1 year ago

I fully agree. Why don‘t we see any progress on this much requested feature? This is extremely disappointing.
