Is there a time frame for Deezer HIFI Heos support?

I completely get where you're coming from. I've been here with our community users and this is a subject I take a lot of ownership of.

I've been discussing the integration with our developers who have been in touch with HEOS to get this off the ground. I can assure you, we're now working to get this sorted.

It's a two-way project, but HEOS is getting all the support from us on the integration. I hope to have more exciting news at the beginning of 2021, so please stay tuned :v_tone2:

Thanks for your patience. We understand your frustration, and we apologise you're unable to stream on HiFi to your device at the moment.

Could you please confirm if the Marantz has compatibility with Chromecast? We're working on a new integration that will cast to certain devices in FLAC :thumbsup_tone2:

Dear Rudi,

please stop playing the game with us. Its time to stop! When somebody is asking you why deezer is fooling us and its not posibble to have Flac sound in Heos you are always saying that you are sorry and asking stupid question like what kind of mobile phone you have; who do you listen your music and bunch of stupid question just to throw do ball back us!

 

I think that petition with all of us that were tricked by deezer and that you are still fooling us is only thing to do it! Im lawyer and I know what I'am talking about! It enough.

Just admit that you are not doing anything on this topic Heos and I will now see how can I get back my money because you are fooling us all!

You havent done anything for us in one year, only postponing the problem which is big!

We all want our money back and I will prepare the official letter to Deezer with all the evidence and proof that you are making us fools and taking our money for something that your are not giving us.

No more sorry and asking stupid questions.

Its time for us all to get our money back and you just admit that you didnt do anything to resolve Heos problem and not to lie us anymore!

Just tell us the truth Rudi… 

I don’t want to cast via chromecast or any other workaround methods that you may come up with. Ether fix it already or clearly state that you don’t support HEOS devices. This is getting ridiculous...   

And since you are keen on suggesting alternative methods, why not send each of us a chromecast or whatever  device that we can cast to and  listen in HI-FI on in the mean time?

Hello, I have been trying to stream Deezer HiFi over IOS HEOS to a Marantz SR6013 Receiver. All Hi Res attempts have been limited to 320 kbps MP3 quality.  The current version of HEOS is supposed to be able to stream FLAC and the audio setting in the HEOS App is set to the Highest Quality. Additionally, the Deezer App on the phone is set at the High Fidelity Setting.  Is there a way to make this work?

As our devices' page shows here, HEOS devices don't support HiFi. The community serves to help users with sharing information and helpful tips. That's why we start discussions and ask questions about every user experience - there are too many versions of a specific device, for instance.

That doesn't stop you from enjoying music in FLAC via your mobile phone or compatible speakers, as you can see from the page I mentioned above. We're unable to offer the subscription under the requirement of all devices being compatible. Thank you for your understanding.

Rudy, honestly, will Deezer deliver Hi-Fi quality to HEOS users? And if so, when will this happen? If not, remove the HEOS device from your page, and do not mislead users. The shy, small, yellow hi-fi icon that appeared recently on your site is a shame for Deezer. I wish I believed your ad.

Sorry you feel that way - I appreciate your concerns. HEOS devices are supported, but not fully when it comes to HiFi.

Have you tried streaming directly from the Deezer app if the system is connected to the same network your phone is? Let us know, please :thumbsup_tone2:

Hey - we’ve been only waiting for like 3 years, what’s the rush.:cry: simple solution is to start spending money on Amazon music HD . Seems their developers don’t struggle integrating this basic API.

We keep getting same excuse on this forum - it will be flagged to dev team, who obviously are asleep or couldn’t care.

Out of curiosity, have you queried HEOS about this feature?

Reading thru the 3 pages of this Heos support thread, I actually think Rudi is a bot!

No - they already implemented an API that permits FLAC given likes of Amazon and TIDAL can deliver HIFI streams. This is on deezer

Thanks Pia for the candid answer. it’s all we needed really. This way we have clarity. I’ll miss deezer but I’ll only  support a platform in future that looks after all it’s users , which won’t be Deezer.

Also think you are wrong btw about the market for Heos integration, given Amazon HD was immediately available on it , it seems the big companies have a different opinion.

Dear Pia, you should definitely revise your priorities at Deezer. Your HiFI users are audiophiles, thus there is a high possibility they to own Marantz or Denon, than a mainstream equipment. I am very unpleasantly surprised that you do not consider HEOS a priority of yours when it comes to Deezer HiFi.

What Pia meant is that we have set priorities, like any other tech company, and these are sorted according to the level of resources we have. It isn't an order of importance, but a list of what's needed quicker for the majority of users, in most cases. We can't fit in all our users want in one go, it has to be gradual.

We can't answer for other streaming services, with other resources and market share. We can always try to do our best with what we've got, which is what we do :pray_tone2:

To you users, we give you the voice you deserve, rest assured - all comments are forwarded to the relevant teams and developers. And when we talk to you, we want to put on our positivity, respect and appreciation in the replies.

I support Pima. So much time has passed, but things are still there!
I bought Denon AVR-2600H, but there is no full-fledged Deezer.

I bought Denon DRA-800H Receiver which has HEOS software fully updated at the latest, when the device streams from a Deezer account it is only MP3 320, not FLAC CD quality, despite my account being HIFI level.

When I use my TIDAL HIFI account (same monthly price), the Denon device do stream FLAC CD quality automatically.

So I’ve already cancelled my Deezer account (which won’t renew at the end of its 3 months trial).

I’m in NO way interested in “casting” in any way (in my case, iPhone, that would be through AirPlay) the music from my smartphone to the Denon Receiver. What I’m looking for is to stream from Deezer at my subscription HIFI level straight from the Denon Receiver, just like I can with TIDAL. If that was available, I would stay with Deezer, because I prefer it over TIDAL for some very personal reasons. Unfortunately I have no choice than go away from Deezer because I don’t want to miss on the opportunity to benefit from my HIFI where it really matters : on the Receiver and HIIFI system, instead of on my iPhone.

Thanks for waiting. After a few chats with our product teams about this, we managed to activate FLAC streaming for the HEOS app :wink:  I now need you to test this and let me know how it works, to make sure we're doing the right thing :smiley:

What should we have to do to test?  Do we need to wait for Denon/HEOS to push a software update to their devices (their new / recent DRA-800H in my case)? Just checked: the device has the latest firmware available (at this instant, might different by tomorrow or in some days).

I just turned it up, and Deezer still streams the MP3 320 Kbps content for now (there is a display on the device, along with the Status key, that allows to reveal the format of the stream currently playing).

So we’re probably missing some instructions to join in the test.

Anyway, thanks for trying and to listening to us.

I'm very interested by the answer because yesterday i subscribed to deezer hi-fi and got disappointed to see my heos streaming at 320 kbps. I own a denon avr.
